We had our first and only frosty morning since we moved here at the end of last March on Monday.

That's virtually unheard of in the North of the UK.

One of our most memorable late season storms was back in 1997.

March Equinox is on Sunday, the start of spring for me, but from today, well for the next 6 months anyway, the days are now longer than the nights, sunrise 06.21 sunset 18.22

Bit of a misty start to today though, but forecast is good for the next week or so, temps in the upper teens for Tuesday & Wednesday.

Yeah. It was gorgeous up at Waterloo and later on Lark Lane.  According to Weather.com it will be sunny most of next week and could hit 17 degrees. That's beer garden weather. :)

Pretty much our weather too, it'd be glorious without the wind

Got family up this weekend, so in the garden for a couple of hours and then off to a lovely little place which is sheltered from the wind for Greek meze and wine :D

It's a year ago today since we moved to Anglesey and the weather is definitely a lot better!

Fingers crossed we'll have a fab spring this year instead of last year's cold, wet and windy one 🙄

The US could well making daylight saving time permanent.

On March 15, 2022, the US Senate unanimously passed the Sunshine Protection Act. If passed by the House of Representatives and signed by President Joe Biden, the United States would make Daylight Saving Time permanent in any state already observing it. This change would mean that from November 5, 2023, clocks would not be returned to standard time

I hope they don't bring in that bollocks here.

I love how the clock going forward/back accentuates the summer & winter

I see the UK actually tried it for a few years in the early 70s, apparently there were a load more accidents in the mornings, plus with added later sunrises in mid winter it was scrapped.

Same thing happened over here, same time frame.

If this eventually passes the House and is signed into law,it will likely be reversed for the same reasons... again.

Spring is my favourite time too and rain in April is good for life so long as it remembers to stop occasionally.

April "showers" with a bit of warm sunshine in between gets nature off to a flying start and hopefully we'll have a proper spring this year.
