Whilst we have something of an extended lull, the bloke next to me in the pub has just said we're playing Slumberland. After a few San Miguels (and the latest political thread from Trada), I found that highly amusing.

Getting really frustrated and annoyed at how many times we've just coughed up possession in the final 3rd. It's ridiculous how we can't stop the ball dead or pass 10 yards.

Klopp must be fuming.

Someone needs to take Benteke aside during the half time break and show him how to control the ball. I've counted at least 4 times he's just given away possession.

42' Benteke and Coates jump for a diagonal, Coates just gets there first Corner... Hendo gets a great drive in the ball pinging around like a pinball in the box. Moreno takes one for the team to prevent a breakaway

In fairness he couldn't get out of the way.

A few smart subs and a tiring SAFC and the second half is for the taking I think.

edit - oh wait I forgot we only have Ibe, Lucas and Toure on the bench, then GK and youth players. Maybe not then.

We need a better 2nd half that sees us not giving away needless possession.

We need to be better in the final 3rd. We need to cut out the mistakes.

Benteke's had 15 touches the entire game in a half and given it away most of the time. 66% possession.

We need to stretch the game a bit more and use Moreno and Clyne to do this.

HT - For those interested in the opinions of ex Reds, Carra and Redknapp are on Sky Sports, and Fowler is on ITV with that Catchphrase guy.

My opinion? Its been 4 hours since we scored in an away fixture, and we need more power and a better first touch to change that tonight. Second half on the way

Another game where Benteke doesn't quite fit. Firmino looks our most likely goal threat and, good player though he is, he's not clinical enough enough to be relied on.

Goal came from some good pressing in the middle, fed out to Clyne who's thru ball was touched on by lallana and Firmino to Benteke who slotted low.
