You know your stuff but not so sure about the pathway.  Maybe Hughill and McNeill will move up to their U23s, like Stewart with us.  So we have Musialowski in our front 3 next year, but not (yet) convinced that Blair and Cannonier are going to be nailed on starters for the U18s next year.  Also, bottom line, that other team do tend to bring through more from their academy than we do.  Just saying.

I would be really disappointed to lose someone I haven’t seen that much of but looks very promising.  Cancan these kids move around freely at u16 with no fees involved?
I meant pathway into the first team not into the U18 team.

Scored one and won a penalty as well. Seems like he’s needed no adjustment time since joining us, a serious talent.

Success for a graduate (of sorts) of this thread today. Neil Critchley who managed the kids (including that Villa cup game) has got Blackpool promoted.

Might have wanted to make his own mark in his first job as opposed to just loaning a load of unproven kids from his former job.

Being able to get just one lad there could be handy anyway.

Made up for him, but selfishly wish he was still with us. That Shrewsbury replay really put him into the spotlight.

Raw.  Still needs more polishing off before he can be trusted in the firsts in my view.  But is strong in the air, on the ball, and with good passing range with left foot.   First touch has let him down a couple of times.  Ok, it does for everyone but for CBs it can really be costly.  Also positioning.  I’d say he is behind Rhys in most things but heading, which is odd because Rhys is probably the tallest of our CBs.

According to @Wyscou data Rhys Williams has the highest aerial duel success rate in the Prem for 20/21 with 76.19%.

Imagine it's to do with making sure we get compensation from whoever is after him. If we let him go without offering any deal I think they don't need to pay anything

I thought it might have something to do with ensuring we get compensation if he signs elsewhere but I'm probably completely wrong about that. I think Koumetio posted something on social media a couple of weeks ago saying goodbye to him, so it would be surprising if he did agree to an extension given he seems to have made up his mind last year that he'd be leaving this summer.

Savage didn’t start many games with the U23s.  He was behind van den berg before he left on loan, Boyes after he came back from loan, Clayton and Koumetio.  Now Quansah moves up.   He may have been offered another year but if he wants to play, or cut his losses he might need to leave
