I reckon more likely to be medial. You can walk with an ACL, but he walked (albeit gingerly) to the dressing room which gives me hope it isn't that.

All this has come from the assistants following directives not to put their flag up until the ball has been played or whatever. If the flag goes up straight away, cos the lino thought it was offside, then Pickford doesn't even come for that ball. All fucking bollocks.

They checked for ligament damage, and clearly he felt something because he came off. They won't know anything until they do the scans. Fingers crossed it's nothing serious.

Wrong, medical staff will have a pretty good idea on what is wrong right now. MRI only confirms their diagnosis, it doesn't make it.

Same. If it's not ACL it's a pretty big MCL/LCL injury.

I tell you what, if the player who caused the injury was forced to sit on the sidelines for the same amount of time that the player he injured is out for, you'd see a lot less of those dangerous tackles
