That's one of my favourites ever.  That and the Charcoal Grey away from 2011/12

Rossiter absolutely bossed it tonight. Really believe he'll end up playing more games this season than Lucas.

Henderson won't make it here. Sorry but he won't and won't

My two favourites which I had box framed and hang on my wall of my office:

We're the kings of Europe, the pride of Merseyside, we'll fight for no surrender, we'll fight for Shankly's pride.

Easy:  76-77 to 81-82.......all red classic with white V neck....very slightly amended through these years.....Hitachi advertising optional.   The Paisley era of three European Cups and countless other trophies.  Pure simplicity allied with success.  The all red machine.   I love this kit and also the away white with red stripe shirt and black shorts.

Got to go along with that. Nothing's really seemed the right sort of red since.

Really itchy that kit was, I seem to remember. Massive billowy sleeves too.

My faves from recent years...

And always loved these ones...

I agree to 100%! The home shirt from last season was truly superb.
Last resort if you need tickets in Switzerland.

Why do people's post keep getting the muppets playing instead of the actual image posted :(

Something to do with the site we're nicking the pics from I think, they obviously don't want us using them elsewhere! Think it was the Anfield Online site I got mine from.
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

Thought that was a revolting combination, wore it for the infamous beach ball game too, not a lot of happy memories of that one.

The 1996 green white chequered kit is my favourite. It was the first kit I ever owned, my dad brought me a conpletely fake one, it had no sponsors and only 2 adidas stripes on the sleeve. Despite losing in the FA Cup final I still love it.

Got a soft spot for the 06-07 selection, was the only season where I've liked all 3 kits and both GK shirts too.

I liked that cream Rebok away! I don't know what old kopites thought of the 95/96 away (Adidas Green/White), but that was the first kit I owned, so I have a soft spot towards it :)

I absolutely loved these kits, probably purely for nostalgia, but still. I was about 11 when this came out and I don't think I ever had them off, or the tracksuits from these seasons. Glorious.

That night was one of the most emotional I've ever been at Anfield! Houllier was back and we'd qualified from the 'Group of Death' by winning by 2 clear goals...fucking boss. I'll always be attached to this kit

Always been a massive fan of that one.

Think the current yellow away one is a gem aswell. Always seemed to like the white and yellow away/3rd shirts.

Same for me, can't seem to go much wrong with yellow and white.

This year's yellow is the first Warrior away/third kit that's done anything for me.  The rest, including the black and red third we wore against Soton this weekend, have all reeked of trying too hard to make a statement.

Players wearing kits you don't associate with them
« Reply #107 on: May 10, 2019, 05:03:07 pm »
Had an idea for a random thread. Players wearing kits you don't associate with them. This is typically because either the player launched the kit and left, but there might be another anomaly. I'll start:

John Barnes in the 1986/87 home kit. I believe this was worn in a match against Celtic in August 1987 (oddly) for Tommy Burns's testimonial.

John Alrdridge also played in the same match as did Peter Beardsley (don't have a picture of the latter)

Kenny Dalglish playing in the 93-95 home kit during Ian Rush's testimonial in 1995.

A couple more.

Javier Mascherano in the home shirt from 2010/2011. Pretty sure he played a game in this before sitting out the Man City game to get transferred to Barcelona.

Emile Heskey in the home shirt from 2004/2005. We played the last game of the season 03/04 in this shirt. Weird seeing him wearing number 8 too.

Raul Meireles in the 2012/13 away shirt in August 2012. Pretty sure he asked to be transfer listed the same month.

Testimonials feel like cheating so here's a really strange one, like Heskey's.

Owen playing in our 2004/05 kit. This is the last day of the 2003/04 season.

Gerrard and Sterling on the last day of the 2014/15 season, both in the following season's kit.

Had an idea for a random thread. Players wearing kits you don't associate with them. This is typically because either the player launched the kit and left, but there might be another anomaly. I'll start:

thats a great idea

team photos are usually good for it too. 1991/2 Gillespie, Staunton, Speedie and Beardsley didnt get to play officially in that kit. Jimmy Carter only played one game in it.

I recall this below too, we had a different version at home where the entire middle row wore the away kit. Speedie and Carter never officially did

1992/3 Houghton and Venison were in the team photo but never played in the kit

1993/4 Nicky Tanner pictured in it but injured and never played a game in it. Torben Piecknik only played once in it. I'd love to know why Whelan and Brucie werent in this. Burrows and Marsh left early that season too

1995/6 Molby and Walters never played in that kit. Nigel Clough couldnt have played many times in it

Whenever we have full black or white away/3rd kits it's always good with that bit of red trim. Also liked the highlighter colours of toxic the season before and orange of last season especially with Virg in it. 17/18 home kit was boss.

Always loved this one. So underrated. Really comfortable light material and not to mention I scored hundreds of goals while wearing this in 5-a-side :D

As far as home kits go, last season's one is a clear winner no questions asked.

2009 one was also a beauty, oneof the best shirts I owned. Wore this that summer more than some of my other normal t-shirts.

This is my favourite away one
