I am sure beer will be available at night time but doubt it in the day time, most Arabic cities do not serve beer during the light hours of the day, but could possibly be open a lot later in the evening, in Dubai for example you cannot purchase food or beer during the day during Ramadan.

Maybe 5 star international hotels will serve food in the day time during Ramadan.

Maybe an idea to stock up the room for the afternoon session.

Bring it on should be a good trip.

yes, hotels will definitely serve alcohol during the day. markets and shops will sell alcohol, but drinking it on the streets is not a good idea. i remember our celebrations in taksim all night long in istanbul 2005, but trabzon, especially during the ramadan is something else.

but don't worry, it'll be a great trip for you guys, i'm sure about it.

For crying out loud- BAA who own Heathrow and Stansted are threatening to go 'On Strike'. Result of ballot will be known at 6 this evening.

When could a strike begin?

The earliest date at which industrial action could start is in a week's time - Thursday, 19 August.

However, some commentators have suggested that the Unite union may prefer to target the August Bank Holiday weekend that starts on Saturday, 28 August.

What are the chances of the strike going ahead?

BAA says that no union action has ever completely closed its airports in the past.

In the last planned walkout in 2002, action was called off at the last moment when an improved offer was made.

Just your luck, that you are flying from Stansted and not Manchester RhylRed. Can't believe that they are going to go for the holiday period.

We're booked on that Tuesday night flight from Stansted too.

Strike dates

Both sides said they hoped to be able to avert the action through negotiation.

No dates were given for strike action. The union said it would be meeting on Monday to discuss a plan of action.

It would have to give a minimum of a week's notice for strike action, meaning walkouts could begin from the week starting 23 August.

Some analysts suggest Unite may target the August Bank Holiday weekend that starts on Saturday, 28 August, but its leaders refused to confirm that.

Surely they mean 6.30pm BST? Turkey's GMT+2 isn't it.

All a bit confusing - don't know where the CET comes in because neither countries are in this zone- we are Western European on GMT+1 -Turkey on Eastern European on GMT+ 3.
So kick-off in Trabzon will be 8.30 their time and 6.30 ours

Yeah, I've read it again - it could be better put but I guess CET is actually GMT+1 which is also BST. So, yes, 6.30 here it is! ;D Just need to find a channel to watch it on now...

Just had a word with my mate in Ankara and he believes that they are not on sale in Trabzon. Nothing in the media or their website.
Sort of match where the club ought to fork out for the tickets and we can collect them out there

You can bet your life its not £44.

Me and the Mrs had 3x weeks in Olu Deniz in June, flights, hotel and taxis to and from Manchester and to and from the resort all in for £800, this 3 night trip is going to end up costing me as much.

Anyone know a good divorce solicitor?

I can see me needing one.
