Right, bad news - the club said "no".

Official excuse - all the pitches are bvggered because of the weather, leaving just the one pitch - the big astro - for all the club sides to train on. Now, I think this is just that - an excuse - given that the weather situation is not something new and wasn't mentioned as a major problem up until this point. I think the real reason is the Steaua fans' request not to have this event associated with the owner in any way.

I've lost most of my will to live after this. Feel a bit dirty as well.

Now, the Steaua fans are still keen to play - a 7-a-side version - and are willing to look into finding something last-moment. There is a nice-looking "neutral" 7-a-side astro by the ground

Does anyone still want to play? I would if there is enough of us. And with the confirmations so far, we should have enough if everyone is still up for it. Let me know.

I'm up for it mate I've PMd you.

OK, we don't have enough interested in 7-a-side, so let's stick to drinking in Bucharest. Nevertheless, if the opportunity arises on another Euro away, I'll try again to get something sorted out.
Big thanks to those who expressed interest. If you fancy catching up for a beer out there, drop us a PM and I'll pass on my phone number.

Good afternoon, lads!
Yep, broke my leg - the result was quite similar to Ramsey's but a bit higher up - playing football on the 21st. Had a big old titanium rod inserted into my shin on the 24th. Finally discharged from hospital yesterday. Should be back playing by autumn. Swings and roundabouts.
I trust everyone had a good trip?

Summed up well by GeeFJay. Got there and the sun was shining and although it pissed down during the match it wasn't nowhere near as cold as expected. Loads who went came back shitting through the eye of a needle for the last week. Nothing special as far as euro aways go but looking forward to Lille.

Sods law with the leg, with you trying so hard to sort a match in Bucharest then ending up in hospital after breaking your leg back home, hope it mends quickly mate.

They fish them out of the Thames, give them a ball and off the go. :)
No Lille for me and I can't fly until the end of April (danger of post-op DVT and sh*t).
Thankfully, not in a wheelchair and not in plaster (that would be a proper nightmare), since the rod is holding everything together and I am encouraged - and need to push myself through the pain - to possibly walk crutch-free by the end of March. The bone takes 3-4 months to heal fully.
