Susan George quite recently, and 60 this year.
About 27 years ago we lived near Windsor and my wife was in a clothing shop there, trying on some clothes, as women are wont to do, while I dutifully waited outside the shop, as men do in those sort of circumstances.
When she finally came out of the shop, she said, "Never guess who was in the changing rooms in their skimpy underwear trying on dresses"...I replied laconically "Elton John?". But no, it was Ms George, who then lived thereabouts somewhere just outside Slough.
Strangely enough in the greater scheme of things, she now lives about 15 or so miles from where we live now. I naturally can only assume that she must be feeling unrequited and is now stalking me. My wife disagrees.
