I get scheduling Watford and seeing what happens in the cup, but why not just put Palace at a time it won't need to be changed due to the CL?

And we're never playing Saturday 3pm again are we?
The West Ham game is a 3pm kick off in February
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.

If anyone is going to put a few fingers deep into my arse it's going to be me.

We might know if Watford is on then or not by 10pm tonight
See, told ya! :D .... ::) :(
But it means Liverpool v Watford will go ahead that day as they lost too.

We are a team of one half.

Watford game now confirmed then to be staying on the date Saturday March 17th? (Seeing as though we are both out?).

Palace is Easter weekend so could be anything from Fri to Mon depending on CL games, it we are still in it. But if you aren't going to it, wouldn't you be able to watch it whenever it is on?

I'm such a div.

I read your post about 5 times wondering why you'd mention about if I was going or not to Palace and thought it an odd thing to ask,.

I've only now just realised this is an away game and I don't do league aways so makes no difference to me one bit!

Too stressful trying to arrange holidays around the reds at the best of times, don't need me reading things wrong and confusing myself even further!

LFC has it as that and i can't see a reason why not - except weather??? But unlikely in March...

Does anyone have a list of our games that have been shown live by TV package?  I'd like to second guess the remaining games for April & May & when/if they will get moved.  I've tried to do a spreadsheet but we only seem to have 1 1330/1415 Sunday game on TV this season, but the maximum is 5.  I know Bournemouth is going to be Monday 16th April due to Hillsborough & Grand National that weekend.  I don't really want to wait until the 26th February at the earliest for any announcement for April 2018 TV games.

There is literally no point in bothering mate. Even if there are rules regarding number of games at certain times, these can still be broken. Watford away at the end of last season for example.

It wouldn't surprise me if our trip to Stamford Bridge is Monday night.

Regarding the Watford game last season I don't think that any rule were broken. Sky had the rights to show that game as it was on the bank Holiday.
It's part of separate package that caught a lot of us out at the time.

Chelsea away on a Monday night would at least give the players an extra day's rest following the Champions League semi final

Thinking about it, why are last day fixtures on the Sunday[13th May this season], these could easily be played on Saturday[12th May] 3pm as Saturday 3pm blackout regulations don't apply in May?

The last day is normally a Sunday and its the only game that won't get moved as everyone kicks off at the same time.

I know they won't be moved this season, but suggesting all the last day matches could be played 3pm Saturday from next season rather than Sunday, as 3pm Saturday blackout regs don't apply May to July but that won't happen.

I suspect the problem this time around will be the number of English sides still in or likely to be in the latter stages of the Champions League

I reckon this announcement is going to have so many caveats it’ll make it almost pointless.

There'll be permutations due to the FA Cup & Champions League. Very Annoying! I recon part of them waiting is due to Spurs & Swansea not yet confirmed in the FA Cup Quarter Finals which is having a baring on fixtures selected.

I remember a few years ago when we played Chelsea in 13-14 we only found out the confirmed date of the game about 16 days before it was due to be played due to the Uefa Draw!

If any of those games are affected by the CL, will they just move back to 3pm Sat or could they potentially be moved to another TV slot?

i could do with some clarification about that Stoke match !

on the premier league website it says

Saturday 28 April
12:30 Liverpool v Stoke (Sky Sports)
*subject to participation of PL Clubs in the UEFA Champions League the following Tuesday

i might be being thick here, but how does a potential game on tuesday mean this would change?
surely the only thing it could change to would be friday night? or am i missing the point?

There are no tv games scheduled for the 12.30pm slot on Saturday 7th April. I would imagine if we are playing in the CL on Tuesday 10th the derby will go to 12.30pm on the Saturday.

There's no tv game on Saturday 21st at 12.30pm either so they could do the same with the West Brom game.

United and City are provisionally down to play on the Sunday. If either of them are playing CL semis on the Tuesday and we're not I think they'll move our game to the Sunday and theirs back to Saturday.

Why is the Swansea v Chelsea game not subject to CL? I am busy that Sat night and really need ours not to be moved to the 5.30pm slot!

As I've said previously, I reckon the police are now given extra money by Sky/The Premier League to accept inconvenient kick-off times.

I was actually thinking this whilst walking around the ground a couple of games ago. How many police do we actually have on a matchday? Not very many. But there are clearly implications travel-wise around the north of the city with two large events at the same time.
