At the moment my big 4 and possible captains:

Trent + Mo, Sterling, Vardy.   :-\

This year I'm going big on defenders with attacking stats (TAA, Robbo, Digne, Ake) and spreading the budget across mid-priced mids/fwds who I think will be great value (Jimenez, Deulofeu, F. Anderson, Tielemans, Milivopenaltyvic). Only big spends are Mo (might swap for Sterling due to African cup) and Lacazette.

Anyone know who to look for in the promoted sides? I chose McGinn from Villa and Lundstram from Sheff U whi was priced at 4.0.

Going cheap on keepers (Heaton and Ryan) since I don't see them as great differentiators

I think Max Aarons at Norwich could be good at 4.5. They've signed Sam Byram but I can't see him dislodging Aarons unless he really struggles because they love him and think he's going to be a monster. Not sure Norwich will keep clean sheets but the hope is he'll pop up with some assists as he's quite attacking.

Thanks mods for the new Sticky!

Rivage renewed the RAWK league so past players should already  be included. Anybody who wants to join is welcome the code is:  cllnuz.

Head to heads dont renew so if anyone wants in on a new one:

The code to join this league is: ijopz3.

Might go light on strikers this year and big on midfielders, the likes of Sterling, Salah and Mane & then fill my defenders with full back assist machines (Trent, Robertson, Digne) and fancy the likes of Targett and Fredericks to grab a few assists from full back this season

Oxlade-Chamberlain at 6.5m could potentially be a bargain. Remains to be seen how he's recovered from his injury but he's the midfielder that offers the most thrust and he looked on it against Huddersfield - admittedly it was only 20 minutes an it was only Huddersfield but still, that's all I have to go on.

Is it just mine that the younger players aren't listed? Interested to see price of Brewster and Wilson.

Delph is also listed as a defender but will probably play in midfield. I normally love a punt on those but, you know, it's Delph. And Everton. Could be worth keeping an eye on though.

Nice! Very tempting, especially if another signing doesn’t come in.

See they’ve added a few in. Wesley and Joelinton could be worth a gamble at 6.0.

Nice! Very tempting
I was very tempted! But decided even though he's a bargain, it's not worth the cost of leaving out one of Trent/Mo/Robbo.

Rafa didn't want Joelinton so neither do I  :P

I committed treason by swapping out Mo for Sterling because it sounds like Mo will be undercooked for the start of the season. I can see the first few weeks being a struggle in attack... Hopefully it'll be like 2013 when we managed three 1-0s in a row. Divock can be the new Dan.

Nah, won't make you feel conflicted if United do well.

Thankfully I'm not even tempted by any in their first team.

The great goalkeeping debate....

Last year I picked two 5.0 keepers and rotated. This year I’m tempted by Leno, Schmiechel, Fabianski and Patricio.

Or maybe it is better to go with Alisson/Ederson and a 4.0 keeper who has little hope of playing.

Thoughts?

I rotated fabianski and patricio last season and it worked but fabianski's price has gone up. Burnely GK might be worth a go rotating with someone?

I've gone for LLoris

Seems likely Origi would start at the moment to me but watch that space in case because everyone's back now including Firmino.

Also hung up on my goalies Heatons provisional but that's a last day thing i think. Stupid goalies.  ;D

Just took Foster for years but last year he was good enough at times but hurt a lot and hes no giveaway at 5, so i dont know.

Hoping to improve on my 1.2k finish last season, going to go against the grain and pick Aubameyang. Not seen many including him in their teams, joint top goalscorer last season Lacazette is injured so he will deffo be the main man. Newcastle & Burnley in the first 2 games. Tielemans or Perez seem essential at their kind prices of 6.5. Zinchenko could be a cheap way into City's back line and going to back Southampton under Hassenhuttl who got them going in his short space of time last season. Che Adams looks good going off pre-season having scored 3 for them and looks like he will be their main striker.

Struggling to find a satisfactory front 3.

After getting one of Kane, Augero or Auba it’s real slim pickings. Hard to pick a striker I’d back to get more than 10-15 goals.

I snagged Perez, then traded him when Tielemans was added to their ff squad at the same price. Both are bargains, but I already swapped Lacazette for Vardy and refuse to have 3 players from any non-red+Merseyside club.
