Absolute shambles, slow, giving the ball away cheaply , midfield and defense look like strangers.

Adrian has been great, Mane with a fantastic strike.

Been listening to radio as haven’t been able to get a working stream. Sounded like we needed the Mane goal but we knew it was going to be tough after Weds night.

Still that’s what you get if you have that kind of quality, can get a goal even when it sounds like we’re not playing well.

Keep going Reds, 3 points and some proper rest before Arsenal to sort out some of the issues we’re seemingly struggling with.

I was thinking to myself we are lucky to be going in at 0-0. It has been all saints and yet Mane scores a worldie and we go in 0-1. I know we have had the supercup game but that is what happens when you have been successful. I just hope we can ride the game out with the win and run for the hills of Anfield road with the points. Has been very uncomfortable viewing so far. Cannot control the game and string 3 passes together it seems but that bit of quality the difference

Now we have the lead changing it makes a lot of sense put Lallana or either of Henderson/Fabinho if they can run on in midfield and get Salah off (whose been as anonymous as he’s ever been for us - quel shock)

Southampton under Hassenhutl at home is always going to be hard. Let alone after the exertions on Wednesday. Harsh to say they were dominant or we were outplayed. We’re battling without being at our fluent best. But when you have world class players ... all you need is just a sniff of chance

I have seen us play badly before and I fully expected a hangover from midweek but we have been awful. It's even worse than it sounds on the radio.

Really struggling with the high press of Southampton, can't remember a second ball we won and they continually block out shots. I can only hope they tire in the second half, but I always say this and it never happens.

I think Trent is playing so indecisive at the moment it is really effecting Matip and we look so vulnerable down that side. Ox has been the best of a bad bunch and what was VVD doing for that chance from Yoshida its like he struggled to jump and was wasnt aware of the danger. We just have to survive the first 6 weeks of the season until we get full fitness and rythym and we get Alisson back.
