Given their relative form I’m surprised Mane started and Jota is on the bench.

Jota had a knock from the Wolves game.

Did you know there is no rule on how long it takes for a keeper to take a gk. Maybe there should be one.
Not sure if I'm falling into a banter trap but here goes... it's six seconds.

Shocking half from us. Don’t know why jota is on the bench when he never played during midweek either.

He hasn't trained all.week.

This is exactly what I expected. Wolves game regen. The idea that gerrard would come here and lie down was always complete fantasy.

Villa have put a lot of work and a lot of shithousery into that half. Atwell is horrendous but that's not news.

Get 1, we get more imo. They're nothing special.
3 midfielders minimum in the next window. And probably another young CB to boot.

Anything else is negligent.

Honestly thought Stevie would have instructed his players to show us a bit more respect than this.

They've been diving all over the shop and time wasting since the 20th minute.

Stevie would've instructed his players to do whatever it takes to win, come on.
Sit down, shock is better taken with bent knees.

park the bus wankeridge again, its the only way teams can play against us.

We were the far better team anyway.
- all in my opinion of course -

That’s massively harsh.

We’ve played pretty well and Villa are lucky to not have conceded at least once. I would say we’re not quite incisive enough in the final third which you need to be when Villa are packing the box the way that they are and going down when someone brushes against them.

Teams know they can shithouse their way to a result against us, as we get absolutely fuck-all from the refs!
It's an ongoing issue in the PL due to the PE teacher level of refereeing. For the supposed best league in the world, the officials overseeing it are absolutely appalling.

This is the same referee who gave Welbeck that penalty against us last season while being the VAR official. You look at the foul on Robertson that we didn’t get a penalty for, and wonder where the consistency is.

Atwell was the ref in that game and didn't give it, it was Friend on VAR who decided it was a pen

It was discussed to some extent in the pre-match thread. Jesus christ, you're such a bore. You're not even trying anymore.

Doesn't do Stevie any favours sending out a team that play acts and wastes time. Yes they are inferior but those tactics are not something I expected from him.

There is a whole half of football to go. Its hardly a desperate situation. What if a player gets injured?

Then you bring another sub on?

This ref clearly has it in for us for whatever reason, not going to get a thing from him so just need to keep playing as we are and hopefully one will come. Maybe get Jota on if nothing happens soon.

Wrong outlook, Mane has looked more dangerous and has got in far more dangerous positions than ox

To be honest we can't live life in fear of what ifs. Just gotta take risks to win. Would be horrible if we dropped points because we didn't attack enough.

I'd bring on Jota for Ox and Keita for a midfielder in the second half. Ox has been pretty pointless.
