It's to do with housing. So as not to block too much light.

Ah, didn't know that.

Half time 0-0. Bakayoko looking somewhat lively for Belgium but a very quiet match bar Ireland's missed pen

Abu Dhabi's Doku on for the 2nd half.

Kelleher will probably play the 90.

Team news - Gordon makes debut, Watkins also starts
England v Brazil (19:00 GMT)

England manager Gareth Southgate hands a senior debut to Newcastle forward Anthony Gordon, while Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins starts up front in the absence of the injured Harry Kane.

Kyle Walker takes the captain's armband. There are also starts for Conor Gallagher, Ben Chilwell, Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden.

England XI: Pickford, Walker, Stones, Maguire, Chilwell, Rice, Gallagher, Foden, Bellingham, Gordon, Watkins.

Brazil's team contains plenty of household names including Premier League players Bruno Guimaraes, Lucas Paqueta and Joao Gomes in midfield. Real Madrid duo Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo start up front alongside Barcelona's Raphinha.

Brazil: Bento, Danilo, Fabricio Bruno, Lucas Beraldo, Wendell, Joao Gomes, Bruno Guimaraes, Lucas Paqueta, Raphinha, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo.

Konate and Gomez not starting which while great means there is a higher chance they start the 2nd games leaving them with less rest. Hope they just get sub minutes if that in both games

Kelleher will prolly get rest in their 2nd game for Bazunu so happy with that

I must be going mad because I was sure Gordon was just ruled out for months?

Assume Gomez will play the 2nd game in a few days. Probably works out better for him getting this one off given the amount he's played recently.

Gordon, Bellingham and Rice have played well.

He got a dressing down from one of the coaches at the last Euros, and returned home for ‘personal reasons’, and his dummy has remained firmly out of the pram since.
i think he's a knob, but to be fair to him if youre gonna get told to behave more like kyle walker by some no mark shitty coach trying to question his motivation over something arbitrary (remembering a result) you can understand why you wouldn't want to break your back for them. same as carragher back in the day - wouldn't say he spat his dummy oout

I thought so too, but having just sifted through their bbc page it seems he came off early against Chelsea and the fear was he'd done his ACL, but then he was fine to play Man  City the following week. Obviously I'd rather set my pubes on fire than watch even a 30- second highlights package of  the Saudi-Emirati "blood and oil" derby, so I was unaware of this development.

Maguire has backed out of England's next game (ruled out, probably due to suspected gross ineptitude) so the U21 CB Lewis has been called up for the Belgium game on Tuesday.

which will = Q playing 90 in the next U21 game vs Luxembourg on Tuesday.

Don’t have too much of an issue with our players getting some minutes during the international break…helps maintain match sharpness, but two 75+ minute slogs in meaningless friendlies is a pisstake. Not that ours get much of a look in for England whilst Southgate keeps up his mating dance around Man U players.
Someday soon everyone will know the truth.  96 never forgotten.
