Great draw! About time we got Bayern in the Champo's. And Klopp has history with that lot. Bring it on!

Probably depends on how desperate Utd are when it comes to PSG.  Their second leg is away so if by some miracle they hold PSG 0-0 at home will they have to prioritise CL over our fixture?
No way they are not conceding against PSG

All the people saying that Bayern are struggling this season, which they are. the games are in February and March, so they might not be in the same predicament then as they are now. Dortmund need to keep them behind and under pressure in the Bundesiga, although an ageing team, they are still a very capable footballing side.
I was hoping for this draw though, this will give Jürgen a chance at a little bit of revenge for the defeat at Wembley. Played so well in first half but, well we all know the outcome.

Nice tie. Won't be easy, but who can complain about a two-legged tie against another giant of the game? And the first leg being at home helps us, I think, with the way we play and our ability to blow teams away and score 3 goals in 20 minutes.

Nice tie in terms of being an attractive fixture on this stage for us, and someone we would feel confident we could beat over 2 legs. They will still be a hard side to beat, regardless of their form this season and they have some really dangerous players.

But falls nicely into the big team, big game, can win category for me.

Bayern are a bit shite right now but the tie is a few months away and who knows what happens between now and then. It’s a great tie though and one Klopp will savour I think, bring ‘em on!

One thing people need not to be is complacent thinking they are a bit shite!

Of course, the manager and team won't be complacent, so it's all ok!

Are they struggling? Yes for sure. But part of that struggle in the league may work to their advantage in the CL, as quite frankly, the league is pretty much lost to them already by the winter break.  That can mean total focus for a very experienced team in the CL.

They have actually started playing better the last 3 or 4 weeks though, and even the game they ended up losing to BVB, they actually played really well in the first half and dominated.

So thoughts of Bayern's demise are a bit premature!

But for sure, I'd much rather them than BVB, who would be a nightmare to play at this point.

Some good draws all round in this one in terms of matchups. Although I can safely say I'm not sure I could deal with watching Atletico vs Juventus!

Apart from City getting a free pass into the next round of course, surprise surprise  ::)

Is it correct that we have a scheduled league game against Watford on the 27th February 2019? If so- are the Champs league games not in the first 2 weeks in March? The final is later this year- 1st June 2019.

Many here treating Bayern as if they are Schalke. Bayern will eventually find form, they finished on top of their group for a reason, they still have a lot of quality in that team.

If they go big on winter transfer season, will they be able to play by the way?

Mueller is for them too.
3 midfielders minimum in the next window. And probably another young CB to boot.

they already are finding form really, bit late for them in the league, but still, they are now scoring and starting to get a more consistent run going.

Not expecting them to go big on transfers in January though.  They may do something, but the idea of them suddendly throwing a lot of money around then, can't see it, they will more likey wait till summer.

I wanted them to get Atletico, imagine the literal kicking Atletico would have given them.  ;D But of course they get one of the easiest draws possible.

Some good ties. Real vs Ajax should be good, and Spurs vs Dortmund too. It's time for Pochettino to do something in Europe having not really impressed there so far.

Reading the Bayern forum right now and 90% of them are proper shitting themselves and don't see much of a chance for Bayern to go through. They all wanted to avoid Liverpool and especially Klopp.
