We once had a dog with 3 legs as a mascot in Northern Ireland we called Tripod. The IRA targetted it as it would be a blow to our morale which is how he lost his leg in the first place, the thing is as he got older, he started to really struggle,his little body had been put under such stress he found it hard to get out, but he still wanted to come with us on patrol. In the end one of the blokes modified a roller skate to attach to his hind legs so he could get around easier, however this didn't last very long as the blokes couldn't do their job properly as they were too busy laughing at Tripod as he wheeled himself down the road.
Maybe we could have carried on taking him out if we'd got a pushchair!!!!!
