I’ve got my doubts on the Kabak link, just think if we were signing him that we wouldn’t know until it was basically done (hey, maybe it is).
When he was mentioned earlier this summer, what stood out to me was his aerial prowess. He’s an absolute beast in the air, and that makes him a logical replacement for Lovren since that was a real strength of his. If it’s true, you’d imagine Klopp has been speaking to Wagner a lot to get insight into the player.
Other thing to note is that since he’s 20, he wouldn’t have to be included in the senior squad so won’t count towards the 17 non-homegrown player quota.
