Disc and digital edition only consoles.

Definately picking up the disc version, along with the headset.

Excellent show overall, got me proper excited.

Man, the digital only version is so much sleeker looking.
The symmetry makes it look much better. Think I'll end up picking up the regular edition though, just in case.

We've won 18 titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, but today must be the greatest victory of all.

Strong lineup there though.

Abe
Hitman
Gran turismo
Horizon 2
Resident Evil 8
Ratchet and clank
Deathloop
Kena
Project Athia
Returnal
Destruction Allstars
Spiderman: Miles Morales

All on my wishlist already.

They did the right thing, let the games do the talking and then smashed it with the reveal at the end.

Just wish they’d give a release date and price.

The overriding thing to take away from that is that there was a varied and wide range of different looking titles. Like how it used to be instead of "Here's a new COD. Here's a new Assassins Creed. Here's a remaster of such and such" like last gen. Obviously only a handful of obvious built for the ground up next gen stuff, but it was enough. If anyone doubts what the system is capable of, Horizon 2 should blow any of those notions out of the water.

Probably the only disappointing thing for me is that RE8 had an underwhelming reveal, nowhere near as well done as the RE7 or RE2 reveals. Although I suppose there's some franchise fatigue setting in

It's the Demon Souls remake, with a fairly different artstyle.

Yeah it really does, saw someone also point out that it looks like Alienware was behind the design

That was promising, quite a few new IP’s in there which is good and a lot of games with unique art styles rather than going for photo realism. Also Ubisoft and EA were nowhere to be seen which is always nice.

Surprised we didn’t get anything from Kojima and unsure why the first thing they presented was GTA5, a game which came out 7 years ago on the PS3! Hardly representative of a new generation is it.

Anyway as someone with a decent PC and a PS4 it’s looking much more interesting than the new Xbox did with that ‘gameplay’ reveal a few weeks ago. As long as there is a decent variety of games and the loading times are down and the frame rates are up then it will appeal to me.

I was most impressed with rachet and clank since it showed something that’s not currently possible. Thought they would of showcased what the ssd does in Spider-Man and horizon but maybe they are saving that.
Anybody think this will have android tv for streaming since a lot Sony TVs do? I’m thinking of getting a shield tv but would make me far likely to hold on and get a ps5 if it could act as a proper streamer.
Ordered a shield tv but after seeing them showing the remote I reckon I might of made a mistake.

It does from what we saw but I reckon it will look mad in person. Loads of air vents so hopefully it stays quiet. If I do get it I’ll probably go for the digital version, I’d expect it to be at least 100 cheaper.

I like the console design but then again I don't really like orthodox designs. I like something more radical and it's definitely that. I hope it's got a good cooling solution. Cerny briefly said it has and there are some big ass vents at the top...

As for games I'm pretty impressed..I think Horizon 2 out does anything shown from 7 years ago at PS Meeting and the demon souls remake should be really good. Also ratchet is a fun game and they showed how they can seamlessly transition between worlds now and I imagine that's helped in part by the SSD although I would of liked more developers to go into detail how there games have changed in terms of design. We got a lot of gameplay which was cool and Death loop in particular really stood out.

I think the new Spidey is a spin off, kind of like what suckerpunch did with Infamous SS and First Light.

Can't really knock what they showed. Would of liked Bloodborne Remaster.

Also have to remember the likes of EA, Activision etc are having there own thing lined up so stuff like COD and FIFA will be on there own events.

Like I said earlier in the thread, every game they showed tonight, bar 1 or 2, looked fun to play.

They’ve shown games tonight that make me want to get a pre-order in ASAP. The likes of Spiderman, Horizon, R&C, Gran Turismo, Abe, Kena and Project Athia and going to sell the PS5 alone.

Nothing that microsoft has shown has done that for me.

Sony know how to do nostalgia and that feeling of getting a new console as a kid. The opening cinematic were they went through the years made me feel like a kid at christmas again.

That was a great show!

When the usual suspects like Ubisoft, Activision, EA and Bethesda show off their shit there'll be a much more meaty launch. I'll probably wait a while to get one because... who can afford £500+ on a games console in a post-Covid world. But I'm excited! The Spidey game was a welcome surprise.
