Mishriff at his optimum track and trip could be the toughest test Baaeed has faced. A toss up between this and the QE2 at Ascot against Palace Pier. This probably decides whether people consider him an all-timer though he’s there already for me. Should be great.

What a fucking racehorse. When Crowley pressed the button he went by and extended away from Mishriff like he’s a 3m staying hurdler. He’d win the Arc by a furlong. He hit the line sensationally well.

Brilliant performance. As you say Gerry what a super horse.

Certainly looks like he’d stay the extra for the Arc but Haggas adamant they’ll head to Ascot for the Champion Stakes

Dramatised really ran flat. Her form at Ascot has not worked out at all, so was slightly surprised to see her so short but I still expected her to win.

Looks all speed and seemed way too keen but yeah the Ascot race isn’t looking great

Gonna give Tuesday a go today, she’s an Oaks winner and Guineas 2nd. If you take out the Derby run she may well be Fav so price seems worth a go

O'Brien usually has a good one for this race. Not sure who I'd back; maybe I'd chance Magical Lagoon. Terrible Irish Oaks this year but she did win it after all and Foley should try to run it out of them.

Haggas has just mentioned that Baaeed might run two more times (Irish Champion Stakes a possible) and even the Arc isn’t off the table

I think you've got to send him to the Arc. Everything about that race yesterday said he'd stay 12f no problems whatsoever. Breeding should be fine, as he's full brother to Hukum of course who gets it no problem. Worst case is he gets beat and they can focus on his monstrous form up to 10f which is where the sweet spot for breeding is now anyway.

Winning the Arc is the only way you could talk about him in the same company as his sire for me. I think they should roll the dice. STS went Irish Champion then Arc after York. Let’s hope they go for it

Good performance from Alpinista giving the weight away. Think Tuesday has an inflated official rating though. She wouldn’t be my idea of the Arc winner but she’s a good horse.

Yep you’d have thought the way the race was run should have suited Tuesday, but the winner did it nicely. Not sure it’ll be the strongest Arc this year so she’s a chance

As things stand Torquator Tasso would be my bet in the race. Think the King George was a lovely prep. Would want a lot of rain though.

Should be a penalty kick for Trueshan today now they’ve pulled Stradivarius. I’m intrigued by Royal Aclaim and The Platinum Queen. Looking forward to seeing how the up and comers fare against a group of veteran sprinters.

Another interesting one is Marshman. He’s looked Harry Angel’s most promising horse so far in his 2 runs but he’s got Royal Scotsman to beat amongst other good looking 2 year olds. Noble Style another notable runners in that.

Had Stradivarius stayed in was considering Trueshan as a bet but too short now on that ground. Really liked Royal Scotsman last time so I’ve had a small bet on him. Also getting a stone and half to two stone all round I’ve had a bet on The Platinum Queen, she looked ridiculously speedy last time

Quickthorn is a better horse than them. Good from Marquand though, rode them all to sleep.

Noble Style looks every inch a Guineas type next year. Really stayed on well to pick up Marshman who drifted off a true line.

Unlucky with The Platinum Queen, Duvva. She still looked green as the grass she was running on there. She got beat by one in fantastic form. Wouldn't have fancied Highland Princess over 5f but the money came and wasn't wrong.

Yep Highfield Princess is a great story going from a 50 odd rated horse. The Platinum Queen ran around a lot but don’t think it made any difference was well beaten, still a good run for a 2 year old

Yeah, looks promising Duv. No Nay Never has had a good season as a sire. Haven’t been fully convinced by him as a stallion until now but Coolmore might give him more to work with now he’s producing some top quality stock and Galileo is gone. They need a flag bearer.

Another Grp 1 for him with Blackbeard today. He definitely seems to get getting horses which may improve at 3 and stay the mile. He certainly seems a cut above the likes of War Front who was another of their big US stallions who i always felt got good 2 years olds but they rarely improved or stayed the mile at 3

I would never say US form is my forte but Flightline might be one of the best ever seen on a racecourse. He beat the Dubai World Cup winner by 19 lengths over night! 6 lengths is the closes any horse has ever got to him and he’s never seen a whip in 5 starts. He is absolutely sensational.

I read about this earlier today, sounds Secretariat-esque. I need to find some of the race videos.

Wasn’t a good day for racing yesterday. Henry De Bromhead’s son tragically died in a pony accident.

Zoology has a Group 1 entry in the Middle Park and won like a really nice one first time out today for James Ferguson and Qatar. Keep an eye on him when he steps up in company.

Had a little nibble each way, Duv. He looked really promising but I think this is quite a good renewal. Been a lot of 2 year olds I’ve really liked this season and can’t wait to see next season.

Stradivarius has finally been retired. Great racehorse. Glad I got to see him win a piss poor Group 2 at Doncaster a few years back.
