Football can be perceived as simple, or complicated, depending on which approach you want to take on its varying facets. I mean, we can all over analyze and over state things in a bid to theorize and to offer up musings about what needs fixing, and what doesn't. I've seen numerous threads on here of late, discussing our apparent lack of leadership, our apparent inability to score goals, our apparent lack of contribution from our "big signings", as well as a whole host of other discussions which focus on searching for an explanation as to why the fuck we're continuing to flounder in our bid to regain a top 4 place.
You can elaborate on simplicity, you can overstate the obvious, you can even hypothesize on any elementary aspect of the game of football of your choosing, but when you scrape away all of ones own phallus stroking, self gratifying, pontificatory querying, then it's quiet apparent that all that has been lacking at Liverpool Football Club for the past while can be summarized in 2 words
Steven + Gerrard
The end.
