Well that's fucking shit news. Talk about an actor able to do more with less  - even no - dialogue

I was going to say something similar. So intimidating despite only being able to ring a bell and pull faces.

Sir Michael Parkinson - 88

Not really an actor but a giant of TV.

I had the joy of making his daily coffee one summer when he and Mary came for their yearly trip.

Lovely man.

David McCallum has died, aged 90. He was in a million things, but Sapphire and Steal is the one I’ll remember him for.

Going back a bit further - Flt. Lt. Simon Carter. Trying to escape from a German POW camp again, but this time from Colditz. TV series in the early 70s. As a young lad, I loved it.

Absolutely loved the Man from UNCLE as a kid, watching episodes here and there. Watched it through again a few years back - it was more lighthearted than I remember but still great. Him and Robert Vaughn as the amazingly named Illya Kuryakin and Napoleon Solo were a brilliant double act.

Probably better on stage and tv than on movies - his work for Pinter and Dennis Potter will always outlive his work in Harry Potter.  As will his sterling work on the Top Gear track  :D

Same with me.

I remember her from the first 2 series from Drop The Dead Donkey as Alex Pates, she was in a cop show called Merseybeat, which mostly filmed in the Halton area [John McArdle was one of the cast members, McArdle was better known for playing Billy Corkhill in Brookside].
