Have any tenants on here been asked to take time off work to stay at home whilst work is being done on their property?

A landlord would not be able to do that.

A landlord would not be able to do that.

I'm sure they can ask. Not demand.
And depends how it's done.
If it's for say fixing the heating and they can do it next week if the tenant takes a day off. Or a month if not.

They can ask but you do not have to do it.

What they can do is give the appropriate notice that they need access to the house and either you make sure you are home or they let themselves in and accompany the people doing the work.

Yeah I should have clarified, I meant demand.

Got the car washed earlier - drive thru wash - and I just noticed some bits of dried birdshit didn't get washed off.

I've soaked them with water and rubbed the hell out of them, but they won't budge. luckily they aren't really noticeable unless you're up close that is.

any advice on a solution I can us that won't damage the paintwork?

ta muchly.

Solution of baking soda and hot water. Leave on to soak for 10 mins.

Failing that, you can buy a specific solution for removing bird shit, but probably does the same job as above for 10 times the cost.

Try class cleaner, or bicarb of soda mixed with a bit of water, on a wet a cloth and lay it on the shit - leave it to soak for a few mins

As I've said before, the Full English is just the base upon which the Scots/Welsh/NI have improved upon. Sorry but the Full English is the worst of the British breakfasts.

I've used MS Copilot a couple of times when a simple google search wasn't gonna do it eg compound criteria.  worked out OK.

I know of loads of people who get a takeaway on Xmas Day as they can't be arsed with all the traditional food stuff normally eaten in the UK.

So long as the kids have their pressys to unwrap who cares what you eat!
