Doesn't matter really, fortunately I never make pointless posts, like ever!

was the fluff?
As I've said before, the Full English is just the base upon which the Scots/Welsh/NI have improved upon. Sorry but the Full English is the worst of the British breakfasts.

It certainly a thing on RAWK, you will often get people moaning about the opinions of those with low post counts as if it makes their opinion count for less.  Those with high post counts are not one homogeneous voice

On the lighter side it can be a source of fun, with landmark posts, I think Barney has one coming up.
So there's actual post-count snobbery going on here on RAWK. 😲

I'll have to go and check my own count now, to see if I have any significant landmarks coming up... 😃

Edit: Nope, just missed my last significant number by a couple of hundred.  :-\

If you have an intranet with ability to comment you should have an enjoyable few days anyway!…we had a similar message around this time last year and the amount of comments, with names attached was amazing. Are you just one day a week in the office at the moment?

Yeah one day a week for the last few years. Been chatter about increasing it for ages, just annoying to have it confirmed. There's no benefits at all to being in an office for the work I do.
We've access to DWP intranet, but we'd have to go looking for shit like that. It's not something we'd use too much here.

I'm in the Home Office and they are pushing for us to do three days in the office, but when lockdown hit they removed all the desktop computers and issued everyone with a laptop and smaller desks. Now they are shocked to find they haven't the capacity to fit people in for three days!

I was at Lancashire County Council unti last June, we were 1 day a week then but it still had some flexibility if you had committments. They've sinced pushed it to two I believe and the IT Service Centre got forced into three days per week resulting in some of them leaving.

Where I am now there is still no requirement to go in. Our IT Architecture Team that consists of 5 of us usually try and meet in the office once a month, and the wider ICT Leadership group meet quarterley usually in a hotel or conference venue. All works perfectly for us.

People in front of you that walk through a doorway and then just stop. Happened to me twice yesterday leaving shops in the town centre, no way to get round them. I'll just hang here whilst you decide where you're going next then shall I?

So often. Tell you what always used to absolutely get my goat when I lived in SW London: people stopping just inside the ticket barriers at Waterloo. It's the busiest station in the country, get out of the way and get on your train to Surbiton. Also, there was always a troupe of imbeciles walking in a line a metre away perpendicular to the ticket barriers, trying to get from the tube to the exit. Have some spatial awareness for God's sake.
If I were a linesman, I would execute defenders who applauded my offsides.

Ha I had similar commuter rage this morning. Came out of my station, needed to make an immediate right to get up some escalators and just had to wait for a load of oblivious people to wander past at their own leisure. Don’t know it annoys me, wasn’t like I was desperate to get to the office

It comes from a good place but people always hold the door open for me (wheelchair user)  but they stand in the door way and then when I arrive, neither of us can go anywhere without a kafuffle.

It shouldnt but it really annoys me.

At times like this, thank the lord you are able to work and have a job.  In a country where you have stable enough electricity and internet at those times to recieve emails.

Sorry. I have no idea where that came from.

I read those emails at 8am yesterday in the office. But it's a valid point nonetheless.

Even worse is when they're a) during the weekend b) not urgent whatsoever. Like why bother to send it. Nobody's reading it. They aren't going to build a fucking statue outside the office when you're gone

There's a feature, in outlook at least, to delay sending emails.
Perhaps office policy should set this so mails are only sent during office hours, unless marked urgent!

Some people work around their life, so maybe leave work at 3pm do stuff with the kids etc, and catch up with emails at 11pm.
Or like me are most productive at 5am., so go to bed at 9ish and happily fire off emails at 5am, though I like to think I do tailor those early ones to people I know that work those hours (other early birds, or different time zones).

Got a 1 hour meeting this afternoon, unskippable, where I'm expected to be an active participant because apparently nobody can think or speak for themselves, scheduled to start right at the start of the second half. It's on Teams so not the end of the world but still.

I do feel one brewing

Someone's just tried to schedule something for the first half as well. My calendar's wide open apart from the duration of this game, always happens. Feels like people are trying to ruin my life and I'm not being dramatic. I've got to block my calendar for the rest of the season

Sorry it was last night not Sunday, a rearranged game so she's been at a&e  all morning, on crutches and in agony.

Hopefully she doesn't insist on going to school tomorrow so she can rest properly.
