Very interesting interview with Kloppo, that steers away from a lot of football stuff, where he talks politics amongst other things, and mentions his wife was actually in the away section with the Liverpool fans at the Man Utd game, and got in her words ‘her first football injury’ celebrating the 4th goal  ;D

Me too, it's great to have an honest and principled man managing our club. Given the sleaze and corruption around these days it's even more refreshing, especially when Guardiola has been outed as deliberately evading Spanish tax.

Rafa Benitez was my Liverpool hero, not only because he won us #5 but also for the absolute class he was as a man. So when he was disrespectfully asked to leave, I wondered if there will ever be a manager who will surpass him not only for his excellence as a manager but also as a person.

And along came Jurgen. I'm 31 now, and although I'm sceptical of most people and heroes, Jurgen is up there as my hero. I believe there was a line about Shankly, which said if he asked Liverpool supporters to take over Poland, they would be ready to do so. I would do that without hesitation for Jurgen.

The guy is class personified. His football achievements are otherworldly, but his thoughts and opinions as an influential person are what make me love him.

He brought up #19 and #6, but above all, he's educated thousands on what it means to be kind, benevolent and humble.

"Life is about leaving better places behind. About not taking too seriously. About giving it your all. About loving and being loved."
I'm not sure we should ask a German about invading Poland. But I get your gist.
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

Jurgen Klopp didn't hold back giving his opinion on the international calendar.

"I hate international breaks," he said.

"And it didn't help from an injury point of view. So, put it like this, if we would've played the week after, not again three days later, our players, for sure all the players who did not play, would've had two days off, with the national teams.

"They have trained through all this because coaches want to have their own targets and then they often think they have psychical work with the players.

"No. I don't like it."

Raise your hand if you wanted Klopp to knock Arteta the fuck out!

I sure did. It would have been worth the ban. Maybe.
So yesterday the Mirror decides to run with Garth Crooks' (stealing a living) suggestion that Klopp is the "villain" here. I didn't want to comment on it but it's been bugging me. Am not even going to bother linking the article because why give those fuckers any clicks? While I wouldn't normally pay a man like Crooks any mind, it made me wonder about the media's obsession with "buzzwords" and clichés that, if you're not careful, can sometimes alter the public image of a person... Like the way when Kate Middleton ate avocados for breakfast she was being righteous and healthy, but when Meghan Markle did it she was funding wars and genocide in the Third World. Our corrupt media is very powerful in that sense, so we need to constantly challenge them on their bullshit.

Having said that, it was our JÜRGEN KLOPP whom they treated like the village idiot when he took the players over to the crowd to celebrate a draw during his first season. And look at what he's accomplished since then, despite all the naysayers, and on a budget that's small fraction of the value of the current Man City, Man United or Chelsea squad. This league, UEFA and the media in this country should revere him almost as much as we do for what he is to football. Instead you have people like Crooks trying to denigrate him and undermine his accomplishments. Apparently Corporate Interest dicks are rammed too far up their arses for them to speak the truth.

Anyway, daily rant over. God bless our Kloppo. :wave

He was comprehensively fed up of the journalists in that conference. Vinny O'Connor set the tone asking about Man Utd, then that twassock from TalkSport followed talking about selecting a side that 'respects the competition'. He'd had enough by the second question. Must be a real chore at times these press conferences!

Journalists have all the time in the world to think up what they're going to ask and they continually come out with the same crap. I guess it's because they have know knowledge of tactics or player development.

I think Jürgen would stump them if he started the conference by saying 'you are not allowed to use the words motivation, momentum, or any other cliché.'

You can bet that after West Ham Jürgen wasn't thinking 'how can we motivate them and get the momentum back.'

Klopp is very modest, but I still think he deserves a quality song.

We need to celebrate him while we have him.

EDIT: Of course, I also agree that Sadio should have a quality song too.
The light that burns twice as bright, burns half as long, and you've burned so very, very brightly, Jürgen.

:wave

Crooks is a total effing idiot.   he doesn't watch the games, he just looks at which payers got good mentions in the match reports and puts 11 players together based on that.

a little while back he had Millie in his BBC "Team of the Week" midfield, based on his great play.  he didn't notice that Millie player fukking left back in that game.

imbecile.
