I don't think Origi or Sturridge flourish on the wing so I'd be looking at a diamond with those two up. Even if Firmino is preferred he's been lacklstre on the left recently.

I know what you mean though. Not sure if this is right, but is it true we haven't had that dream front four since before that international break? Not having that line up has affected us, but the main thing is we're still right in it. Since the injuries started we've all known it's been a case of hanging on as Chelsea went on their ridiculous run, and we've done that. We've done it really well. But so has everyone else more or less, so it's going to be a mad few months.

Won't be long now til we get them all back just in time for the part of the season where it's won or lost. And our fixtures look good. Until then we just need to keep in the race, preferably like we are now, as a Steve Ovett on the shoulder in 2nd. But if not, i'd still fancy us to do a Mo Farah from further back.

Until we get to that point, it's just another game.

And there's tonight first, so this the last I think about Sunday until tomorrow.

Without Mane and with Phil probably starting off the bench I'd take a point now if offered especially when you consider our record there for the past decade or so.

The most important thing that will give us a chance of a good result is showing a bit of courage on the ball at the back. If Mignolet turns it into another long ball fest I'm afraid there won't be a happy end this time. Mignolet, Lovren and Henderson will have to be better on the ball than usual so we can gain a foothold and not allow them to put too much pressure on us. Also defending will have to be very similar to how we defended vs City - discipline, discipline and more discipline with our shape, not allowing them easy passes into Zlatan. We showed we can do it vs City and we'll have to repeat that again.

I don't care about our record over the last ten years and I imagine neither does Klopp or the players. But what I am concerned about is that all the momentum is with United: a long winning streak compared to our three games without a win, and us coming off a dire performance at Southampton where our systems looked all wrong. They have an extra day's preparation and don't have to come back from the other end of the country. Mane's gone, Coutinho's undercoooked and Firmino is bang out of form. Everything is pointing to a United win, so I will take a draw. If you'd asked me a couple of weeks ago, I'd have said we'd batter them. Unfortunately this game has come at the worst possible time.
