One of the worst attempts I've seen to save a shot. He nearly runs past the width of the posts following the ball before it curves back. No idea how to track the flight of the ball. England's worst ever no.1, short hands down.
So bloody what? If you watch football to be absolutely miserable then go watch cricket.

He didn’t have much of a chance, but there’s nothing in the slightest bit graceful about the way he hits the turf there, is there?  Looks like a sack of spuds.

he could injure himself with that type of landing!

Not many of the better than him keepers, if any, would save that, but not one of them would fling themselves like that. You're right, he could do an arm or a rib landing like that.

I reckon if his arms were even just half an inch longer get he'd have kept that out  ;D

If his arms were half an inch longer he'd be at a better club than Everton.

Went with his wrong hand to be honest. Not that it would have mattered with them stumps reaching for the ball.

Awful keeper who will end up like a Joe Hart in a few seasons, sitting on the bench somewhere wondering where it all went wrong.

He should be sat wondering where it all went right! Players with so little talent rarely reach this level.

On a more serious note, what's wrong with him? He always seem to swear or say something out of anger if he misplaces a pass or hits it out for a throw (a common occurance) and is always making weird faces and gestures. He's like a pre-teen boy. Not taking the piss but he definitely has some kind of medical condition or something.

de Gea has at least been good in the past and actually won stuff.  Pickford is just outright gash but also full of himself too.  Thinks he is far better than he is which is why he is always berating his own defence.  Surprised nobody's chinned him in his own dressing room.  He must be an absolute ass to work with.

The save from Origi was quite good, I don't think you can blame him for the Jones strike, exceptionally placed strike.

But overall his distribution is all over the place, one moment he finds his man with a kick from hand, the next he's twatting it into the main stand.

I feel Adrian is comfortably better than him.
It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

To be fair, I don't think anyone saves that.

His near arm actually reaches higher than his far arm (note it floundering after the ball passes him), so if he'd taken another step to his left before leaping, his right arm could have reached the ball. That would depend on him making the right decision in the split moment that he had, so it may not have been reasonable to expect it of him. I'd imagine that Neville Southall may have had something to say about it though.

I'd like to see Southall do a Hansen-style dissection of all the technical things the keeper did wrong. Hansen was a wonder in his early days as a pundit, before he decided it was an easier life to disengage his brain and just spout bland platitudes.

foster has been the best english keeper for at least two seasons (but no one mention his england debut, man, that was brutal), for me he's been second only to alisson

some of his great saves maybe come about for the same reason alisson rarely needs to make a 'spectacular' save, but he's sitting behind an inferior defence and that dude has some highlight reel and has been worth plenty of points to his team

GK appears to be the last bastion where English players are behind the times.

The younger generations of players have become better and better technically and tactically - everywhere but in GK, where it appears the expectations are still very much as per those of Hart, James, Seaman etc.

As I keep saying, he would not stand out as a top League 1 standard keeper. Incredibly lucky to be in the Premier League.
His exceptional distribution is why PL managers rate him.
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.
