Also missed out this morning. Got through at 8:29 but was nothing left so still one short. Is there likely to be an exchange for this?

Might be the wrong thread for this but just wondering if anyone of you knows when the team leaves JLA? I would guess sometime on Monday afternoon or so, but is there any chance that I could find information about this anywhere? Through this site maybe? http://www.liverpoolairport.com/flight-information/live-flight-information/

It will be on the Tuesday, day before the game
I clutch the wire fence until my fingers bleed,
A wound that will not heal, a heart that cannot feel.
Hoping that the horror will recede,
Hoping that tomorrow we'll all be freed.........JUSTICE.

Any Basel locals knocking around on here? Or someone who has been there recently?

Pint prices look on the high side and that is the only question I need answering right now. According to this it is around £3-6 a pint - http://www.pintprice.com/city.php?/Basel/Switzerland/gbp.htm

How accurate is that?

I managed to find a few restaurant websites with menus and beers are listed between 6-8 Swiss Francs which works out at £4-£5.30

Ask for a mobility pass when you check into your hotel:

Mobility Pass: All hotels in Basel, including the youth hostel, offer each registered guest a free "Mobility Pass" upon check in. This gives free unlimited travel in Basel and suburbs (including to and from the airport) for the duration of their stay. This is easily worth the price of a lunch every day you stay. (If you have written confirmation of a hotel reservation you can also use this to travel from the railway station or airport to your hotel. At least one respected hotel in Basel advertises this fact on their web site.)

Question for any of the lads or lady's that went last time. Was there a club store in the city centre or is it just the one at the ground been searching on Google and can't find anything.

In 2002 I went the shop at the ground, but looking there is one at the following address
Greifengasse 22, 4058 Basel
Just throw in the link below.

Hi all,

A couple of us are flying out next week and want to join up with the build up in the city. Could you recommend someone on twitter to follow to be able to meet up - please PM me twitter IDs or locations for obvious reasons.

Hoping to start early with the 3 bars in 3 countries thing.

Cheers

4 quid is what you're gonna have to be looking at in the restaurants and bars. You have to get lucky to find a pint for less than 5.50 francs anywhere in Switzerland, let alone the urban areas. Cans from the supermarkets are around a quid and there's no restriction on drinking in public areas in Basel.

Got B1, which is right next to A6, so I'm guessing they've just changed the boundaries a little bit and the computer's got you as technically being in A6. If you got it through LFC, you'll be in with everyone else.

It's in the next section to ours, it will be returns from the corporate/players allocation. There is always another section away from the general supporters section.

Should be fine then. Can't see you being segregated from everyone in B1, and it's more often than not sit/stand where you like. Just ask a steward politely if you need to go through a gate or anything.

PM's only for obvious reasons.
Quote from: Harvest Fields
i watched the chelsea game at my sisters. her 12 year old son is severly autistic and i forgot myself and jumped up screaming at the goal and he went nuts. screaming and shouting. scared the fuck out of me. apologised to my sister as i thought id upset him, turns out he was joining in.
