And it scanning. That would make it easier for everyone and sound better

Not sure why people don't just drop the 'Bobby' from the second line?

There's something that the Kop want you to know,
He's the best in the world and his name is Firmino...

That works for me. If I can remember the rest of the song I will be singing it Tuesday night!!

Remember, that when you get over the cold, you're meant to knock the hot toddies on the head. ;)

Wet yesterday and depending on your seat, you may well have got piss wet through(like soft lad here) as it was blowing into our stand. Scoring 4 helps to take your mind off of it tho'.

Sounded like everyone there yesterday was in great voice, especially given the small allocation.

Bar the odd tourist, a very high scouse proportion yesterday, helps that. Having said that, Burnley was high, but shite up until we scored.

Some will be through club sponsors, but you do wonder at times. Some will be touted but given how many there are, even at Burnley & Bournemouth...

The one thing thats been bugging me about the Firmino song is I always thought there was two lines missing from the start, the video of River Plate above confirms that. It's a shame because it sounds way better with 4 lines at the start before you get to the 'Our number 9' part and it's probably too late to do anything about it now.

Yeah I mentioned that in the Firmino thread I think as well. Like you say, probably too late to change it now though, same as with the second line.

I don't go to aways, but I'm sure the Firmino one could be altered before it gets taken up at Anfield.

I wish the second verse of Allez Allez had been altered before that got taken up, but we're stuck with that one now. Or maybe I'm just a killjoy.

Quite good at times, although with us being along the side made the songs be sung at 3 different speeds and timings were al over the place. Having said that the speed of our songs at times is full speed anyway!!!
The DJ set at the beginning was something different as well (not quite Ibiza) but the flames were close enough to feel 😃.
It’s been a good run of old school stadiums from the past lately in shit weather, Burnley midweek in the rain, Watford, Bournemouth (a long trip), Huddersfield 🙈.
I know the aways are not always as they used to be or (should) be, but I’m enjoying the triips anyway (being helped by us having a great start to the season)  and being top of the league for Christmas  ;D
So, let’s continue in the New Year at another small time stadium 😂 for the first away of 2919 and carry on with 3 more points (please!).

Merry Christmas and happy new year to ALL  :)

It's a weird end isn't it, all spread out like that, hard for songs to carry at the same pace right along. The never-ending VVD song was great though.

That DJ set and fireworks shenanigans was a bit surreal too, bloody hot those flames were! ;D

Felt a bit sorry for that home corner that's completely open, they must have been soaked to the skin and fucking miserable throughout! Then again they were probably singing Feed the Scousers so fuck 'em.

They looked quite surreal at times - like tombstones, my mate said. I felt a bit sorry for them to be honest - I hope they don't have to pay much to sit there! They were given yellow ponchos but even so, I wouldn't want to sit there every week. Highest attendance since 1981 they said, so they obviously wanted to see us :D

Didn't think much of the DJ set (it's a football match, not a club!) or the fireworks - went on for ages. But it would have been good if they had left the flames on all game! ;D

Went on from the moment he scored until the moment Sane scored, was brilliant.

Yeah Brewster was in there.

A comment on the support last night. Thought it was poor. Certainly a lot of day tripping types & some serious touting gone on for that fixture.

Also think it was partly due to people being nervous.

The Firmino song after he scored was good but that's it. Not heard them that loud in years, albeit songs about us.

Indeed, had to watch from their section along with loads of others, very very frustrating.  Firmino song sounded excellent, had the City fans intrigued.  Expect City to produce their version soon.

Mainly due to the scouse regular season ticket holders selling to the highest bidder and then complaining some weeks later how there is not enough scousers at the aways, whilst not actually going to an away in abar 2 seasons.

I kinda guessed that when that Irish lad on the Anfield Wrap couldn't get a ticket.

Our lot are always in the Lower, I went for the Upper this time as I knew that I was taking my lad...turned out to be a wise move as 1 mate in the Lower was hit by a half full plastic bottle, another hit by a lighter and apparently a smoke grenade was chucked in (and was swiftly thrown back) as well as numerous coins.

I fully expect that fuck all will be done about it though.
Quote from: Harvest Fields
i watched the chelsea game at my sisters. her 12 year old son is severly autistic and i forgot myself and jumped up screaming at the goal and he went nuts. screaming and shouting. scared the fuck out of me. apologised to my sister as i thought id upset him, turns out he was joining in.
