Is that sufficient to suggest taking Elphick under his wing hasn't harmed Starmer?
The likes of little Owen Jones will not vote for a Starmer-lead Labour Party anyway. But accepting Elphick is largely irrelevant, but with - I suggest - a slight positive in the round. Elphick will be gone come the election anyway. And it is embarrassing for the Government right now. I am more concerned about the likes of little Owen sticking the knife in wherever possible. Again, marginal stuff, but a slight negative in the round.

Seems like the Aurora Borealis [aka the Northern Lights] is going to be visible over large parts of the UK tonight, & the weather forecast is good too, clear skies tonight.

https://news.sky.com/story/northern-lights-could-be-visible-in-england-and-wales-as-severe-solar-storm-to-hit-overnight-13132757
The Northern Lights are set to be visible across the UK overnight as a huge solar storm is going to hit Earth.

America's National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reportedly issued its first severe solar storm warning since 2005 yesterday as a huge geomagnetic storm races towards Earth - meaning it could be the most powerful experienced in almost two decades.

It's set to hit overnight, and could supercharge the Northern Lights, making them visible in Scotland, northern England and Wales and even further south if conditions are right.

But the Aurora Borealis could also potentially interfere with infrastructure, including the power grid and satellites when it hits.

Watched Baby Reindeer when it come out in one evening..FFWD through a lot..thought the whole thing was wrong and immoral to use as TV entertainment as it was not fiction nor was it  insightful ..just using mental illness of real people as entertainment and vehicle for the writer/Star to advance himself..and Netflix to blame  ..a tawdry act

That c*nt Morgan was sick to interview that women too. Shameful.

Personally I thought the real villan was that BBC guy, crazy he went back to him.

yep that's what he's alluding to, the despicable gobshite bastard twat.
I've no time for Robert Kennedy, Jr. None. And his own comments about his brain injury are a godsend for his critics. I have no problem with that - politics is a rough business. But to bring in the assassination of JFK and Jr's father, Robert, in that way is a despicable act.

Liverpool FC Forum / Re: Trent Alexander-Arnold
« Last post by Draex on Today at 01:49:57 pm »
Gosh some of the stuff here is pure garbage and embarrassing. Some of the posters sound like opposition fans trotting out the same old shit about Trent.

All players have weaknesses and also strengths. Trent's strengths far outweigh his weaknesses. Yes you can harp on all day about him being beaten in the air at the back post (as you could do for Robertson).

Other teams will have good defenders as they need them. Their defenders will hardly cross the half way line nor ping diagonal balls to the far wing. Their defenders will sit tight and man mark all game so they will always be close to their player. Trent on the other hand will be crossing the ball from the opponent's touch line and is not a man marker of a defender.

Our game is all about pressing high and attacking. If you want to see us sitting deep and not coming out of our half then you are supporting the wrong team.

Trent's weaknesses will be exposed at times but don't be a prick and listen to United supporters and take the bait....."Trent cannot defend". Trent is a decent defender but is world class going forwards and taking freekicks.

Hyperbole much? No-one has said Trent cannot defend, the discussion (without resorting to you're a utd fan insults) is why he's stopped defending. If you want to argue he's not fair enough, but I think he is a much worse defender now than he used to be, again as stated before I don't know if thats tactical or personal but on the tactical side I think it's crazy to have both Trent and Salah with minimal defensive duties.

The key part is Bradley, being asked to do the exact same role as Trent (maybe less long balls) has been a far better defender.

It's a really strange situation because a few years ago when the the public (mainly around England call ups) statements he couldn't defend came out, it was with a great irony as that was utter rubbish, he was a good defender at that point, yet since then he's got worse (in my humble opinion). When we played 433 Trent and Robbo were the best all round fullbacks in the world.
