Virtual PC is a sack of shite.

*may have a disk image of it somewhere, probably on my faulty Lacie drive though*

You're right, it is a sack of shite and I doubt it would run on a 400mhz g4. It barely ran on my old 1ghz emac.

Ben.......drop the bone ;)

Or, read the following comments, which revealed the mac hadn't crashed at all, simply an application, and it was easily sorted without requiring a reboot.

I already did, this is the post

I just got back from football training and my Mac had locked up :(.

I've rebooted and it seems to be happy again now  ;D

There doesn't appear to be any comments following it, the mac fanboys carefully overlooked it.

SO THERE

You're so cruel, Ben.

Nidgemo currently has his fingers in his ears and is chanting "Macs don't crash, Macs don't crash" repeatedly while rocking gently back and forth. It's like telling a Scientologist that L Ron Hubbard was a bit of nutter, really.

It was handled by IM, thinking back.

I'm sure paul will back up that it was the app that crashed, not the mac.

We convened a secret cult meeting in case the nasty PC owners started laughing at us or any of the gory details got out that Macs do in fact, crash.

OSX seems to be stable and handle an app crash fine.
I can also report that I can leave my Mac running for as long as I like now without it freezing.
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

In the office, I have a perfectly stable 400MHz P2 running Win2k perfectly stably, don't forget, this is a Pentium 2 and as the mac fanboys insist, this is a completly inferior CPU to the ones macs use.

OSX requirements. Surely you're not telling us that Apple are liars?

I've got a 7 year old Athlon that runs XP with no problems. You can leave that on for as long as you like as well. Maybe OSX is just resource hungry bloatware.

They are when its proponents continually persist on telling everyone that it never crashes, despite all evidence to the contrary.

Can't eh? Thought as much. I've long realised that the mac users generally leave the PC threads alone, while the PC fanboys can't help but get involved in a mac thread. It's the jealousy, see.
Drives them mad, so they need to justify that their PC is better [snigger], even when unprovoked. It's quite endearing, in an innocent, unaware sort of way.

Plus, of course, they love coming into the mac threads, because it's a glimpse into the future for them. Practically a time machine. I use PC threads for the same, except instead of going forwards, I'm able to read them for a retro feel, and can look at them thinking "gee, remember when I first seen all these features..."
