He only won last time because everyone was fed up of the "bladari clan" choosing the candidates. His "free Palestine" speeches got the young Muslims excited. But by the end everyone realised he's all talk.
Hardly seen after he won, didn't do anything for the city.
And now probably turn up to another inner city Asian area and start his pro Palestine speeches and get the young Muslims on board.

As a bradfordian one thing i can say about him is that he's one clever fella. Knows how to play the system, he's made a lot of money out of it.

One thing about Galloway is he attracts a hell of a lot of cranks, some almost worship him and some just hate him and to make it a bit more confusing it's for a whole lot of different reasons and its hard to tell where they are coming from.   
None of them it seems,mind a bit of out and out lying but the hatred and worship can and does make both sides blind. or at the very least turn a blind eye to certain things ...

He's also made some pretty horrible accusations about Naz Shah. For example, he is accusing her of lying about her forced-child-marriage in Pakistan. What a horrible human being Galloway is.

Not true, in Britain and all other liberal democracies. Defeat at the polls always ends with the defeated stepping aside and letting the winners take their place. No one calls on the military to step in, no one refuses to accept the result, no one barricades themselves in Downing street.

But Galloway hates liberal democracy. He has a profound contempt for the ordinary voter and a tendency to demonise the political opposition. His heroes are men like Saddam Hussein and President Assad - men who, absolutely, cling to power at all costs. He'd do very well in a one-party state but unfortunately for him Britain is a multi-party democracy.

So fuck off George. You lost.

Agree, that George can just fuck off.  My statement in more general terms i guess was more pre-results than post.  Look at the fear campaign used by the Tories, they will say and do anything to stay in power.  Had there been a hung parliament or minority labour gov, i have no doubt they would have took it on the chin.

Meeting saddam Husain ain't a big deal as tony Blair met Gaddafi and wasn't there that famous picture of donald rumsfield shaking saddams hands.

Anyway back to Bradford I think he spent most his election campaign fighting over this age thing!does 1 year make so much difference, okay she was forced marriage at 16then. She still went through a lot.

On interesting note before elections started rumours were going around that he would get an easy opponent set by labour so he don't stand as London mayor. Naz shah came in last min, doesn't have any political history and also doesn't come from one of the powerful "bladari clan" families.
At first no one gave her a chance.
