I was in Waterstones in Liverpool ages ago reading a book featuring Leeds hooligans when this guy next to me asked if I was a Leeds fan. I said no, I was a Red but did enjoy Leeds' visits to Anfield in the 70s. Turns out he used to be a Leeds hooligan and then started telling me all sorts of tales about his mates pictured in the book. A really nice guy he was too. Said he was in the sports/terrace fashion industry these days.
I remember the Annie Roaders waiting for Leeds at that little alleyway from the park into Anfield Road to welcome them to our lovely city. Lots of Leeds scarves set on fire later in the old Spion Kop.
