Was certainly a bizarre change. Spain had certainly lacked width in the first half and bringing Garcia or Joaquin on was clearly necessary, not however at the expense of Villa.
I don't think they needed it. France arent very good down the flanks and with the three men in there and the striker dropping off Spain had total control of the middle of the park in the first half. France were only ever going to score by springing the offside trap, that's a small threat really in my book so they shouldnt have worried, they showed a bit too much fear for me. I think they had that game in the bag, goals
would have come but instead let it go with the changes.
I bet Rafa's sitting at home eager to put that national side right, but not just yet tubby man, not just yet.
