New series on BBC2 last night following a group of disabled people (with various disabilities) in a trek from one side of Nicaragua to the other through the jungle.
5 armed soldiers accompany them in case of bandits……….
Blind chap, gay deaf chap, two wheelchair bound people, various legs/arms missing form others, pushing themselves to the limits through mud and rough terrain, travelling just a few miles each day.
Very humbling and makes people who moan about who should play left back seem very, very irrelevant.
