Started playing this a bit and it's better than the original so far. Was playing with a mate for a bit aswell and just killed captain flynt. Like the way you can transition in and out of multiplayer easily enough! Accumulated 3 skill points with zer0 and not spent them yet so need a good look at where I want to take my character before I spend. That's on top of the initial ability of the dummy and invisibility.

You can reset skill points, so just go crazy for now.

Wanted to save monies for FIFA, but gave in and got it over the weekend.

Very good so far, the story is much better, but as others have said, it wasn't exactly hard to do. Gameplay is alright, for some reason I find it a bit less enjoyable than the first, but probably because the weapons are much more balanced. Which is also annoying, since I've yet to find a decent assault rifle that bursts and does any sort of good damage (while having a clip bigger than 12).

I just met Lillith though. The things I'd do to her if I was a cartoon... ;)

How are people finding it? I enjoyed the first one in multiplayer/ co-op but found it a bit gash on my own. Tedious. Will probably get this if I can convince a mate or two to pick it up. Getting very good review scores.

So far its been better than the first ive played it solo and with a mate and its quality the more players involved but still good as a solo experience.  Cheapest place ive seen it is tesco for Ł35 aswell if that helps.

Just killed Bloodwing, so I imagine I'm somewhere near the end.

Having a blast playing co-op with my mate, Maya's kicking ass for me, the Phaselock abilitys so good against those Badass Physchos and Raging Goliaths when they charge at you.

Yup, me. I don't play multiplayer though if that's what you're after.

Got more into this game as time has gone on, some great optional missions and I love some of the weapons now too. Started off playing as Zer0 and just snipering everyone from a great distance but now my health and shield is up I can go running around shooting the shit out of everyone instead of playing it safe.
Enemy, at that time, and now, I cant think of anything good to say about her. She's still being a c*nt

Surprised so few have picked this up, brilliant game and well worth the money lots of replayability.  Working on finishing up my second playthrough right now as Maya, level 44 at the moment getting that much closer to cap!

Borderlands 2 became the  best-selling launch week game of 2012 in the UK when it came out, so hardly "few" have picked it up.

Finishing up your second play-through already?! Yikes. I'm still on the first.

Played as a Siren in the original, and never really understood her powers in single player. Ended up never using them and just SMGing my way through it. How do you use it? What is the benefit of taking her over the soldier or the berzerker or the sniper?

The phaselocks very useful against opponents that charge at you like the Goliaths and Badass Psychos, as it suspends them in midair for a few seconds allowing you to critically damage them. You can add heaps of buffs to the skill as well such as elemental damage, and ricocheting bullets.

So is co-op the real meat behind this? I played the first one for a few hours and didn't really get the appeal. Gun play was alright, styling was pretty cool, but other than that it appeared pretty unremarkable.

I don't remember being able to shoot in phaselock. All I remember was I could move very fast as everyone was frozen and then do a bunch of melee damage (but that would cancel phaselock).

Take out the "is" from what i said (see the edited version). Borderlands 2 was out a week before FIFA 13, and in that week, it became the  best-selling launch week game of 2012, I'm sure Fifa has passed it now, but considering it was the  best-selling launch week, a lot of people would have brought the game.

No way Borderlands sold more in its first week that Mass Effect 3 surely?

You should really do all the optional quests anyway to level up. Only one I didn't do was Marcus' refunds one, because I can't handle timed quests.

I've had this game for a few weeks now, been playing it with two mates of mine who had already completed the game twice, great fun in co op but seeing as they know the game so well it feels like we're just rushing through, need to play it on my own for a while to really get to grips with the world.

Yeah I just read it and realized they did the same with the original (up to level 69, teehee), but if you're going to allow a second play through, shouldn't the level cap not stop upgrading during said second play through? I'm about three quarters of the way done, got to level 50, killed some super bad ass, got no XP for it, and now what?

Doesn't even make sense continuing to play until they increase the level cap - I'll be finishing missions etc, but won't be gaining any experience. Daft.

Don't need a season pass I don't think mate. It's for DLCs. But definitely worth $30. Level cap frustrations aside, it's worth the $50 I paid for it.
