Would like to see 1 or 2 of the best youth players on the bench. Hope Suarez, Reina, Agger and Lucas are all rested. Good game to put Kelly at CB or give Flanagan more game time so he can forget his mistake and progress cos he could be a very good player in the future. Hoping for a reasonably strong team and a good win.

Would love to win this competition.
This game is perfect for trying Kelly at CB, giving Coady and Sterling some game time off the bench and hopefully getting Carroll a couple of goals and some confidence. wouldn't be surprised if Reina starts, Kenny always seems to stick with his No. 1.

If it is a really changed team, wonder who will be captain?

We should look to play a few youngsters like Flanagan and Robinson, get Skrtel a start and rest a few like Lucas and Reina but we shouldn't go with a complete reserve side because we should be using this game to improve the understanding with some of the new players and continue to improve people's fitness.

Spearing, Doni, Maxi, Skrtel, Robinson and Ngog should be given some minutes/fitness under their belts. I'd like to see us do well in the domestic cup competitions this season. It has been a while since we had a good run in FA Cup or Carling Cup.

That team alone should be enough to win comfortably. As other have mentioned, I'd leave Lucas, Suarez, Reina, Agger at home. Also I'd leave Charlie and Enrique at home as they've played a lot of football in such a short period at the club so far. Would bring Carroll on for the last 25 mins or so if needed as Bolton is going to be tough at the weekend and wouldn't want him to be tired for it.
