There was that guy at rangers who didn’t get his acl repaired and carried on playing. Not sure how he faired though
He wouldn't have had surgery. There's some good evidence to suggest that you don't need the ACL repair and can return to your previous level but most clubs have a personal preference for the repair. Every player I've rehabbed have said they feel much more stable with their rehab after surgery than they did before.
Love your insight on this stuff mate. Really appreciate it. I remember Alou Diarra of West Ham doing his ACL in August and was back playing in November for them. Always had that in mind when I hear of ACL injuries and then Sam Allardyce talking about a miracle recovery. Is it though, or did you just start playing him again as soon as he could put weight on it.
Has there been any news on Brewster? Gotta be close to returning to training now, right? We could really do with another pacey forward option for the rest of the season and if we're not dipping into the transfer market then he's got to be worth a try.
Messi in fact doesn't have a recognizable trait.
Our treatment of AOC seems to be the other extreme. FSG seem to have a bit of sporting romance about them but ultimately are hard-nosed business people. AOC is 25 years old and contracted to us until 2022 so the maths on that one is simple; platinum care and rehab = higher chance of valuable asset and lower chance of expensive liability. As an LFC fan though it's just great to hear that his rehab is going well and it would be such a result if he's able to power through a proper pre-season this summer.
Matip and Gomez both making progress, both are in training, and could future after the Brighton game per Klopp via the Echo
Thank Fowler we're not getting Caulker
Fucking hell, Lovren off injured. Either we rush one of Matip/Gomez back or Fabinho will be at CB at Brighton.
Where was Lallana tonight.. I'm assuming he's injured again?
Fingers crossed Lovren not out long
Or maybe ill?
So was that Lovren's hamstring do people think? [emoji53]
Yeah. Klopp confirmed. No timescales.
Unfuckingbelievable.
Klopp suggesting Hendo is injured too.
What did he say about Hendo?
Can't say we didn't set ourselves up for this one. We went into the season with just 4 first team CB's, two of whom we know are perennial crocks in Lovren and Matip. Lovren wasn't even available for the start of the season ffs.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.
You don’t think four is enough...?
He was in the plans but was injured. Looks like a minor one though. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/333078-jurgen-klopp-liverpool-wolves-reaction-fa-cup
Crosby Nick never fails.
VVD-Fabinho at Brighton then should have Matip back for Palace hopefully.
One game to get through at Brighton and then hopefully it eases again.Seems like Fabinho is our best bet there. You’d hope anyone playing alongside Virgil will get a bit of an armchair ride. Could also do with him in midfield too of course but again, needs must, Hendo Gini plus one should still be enough.
Normally a player can look great on tubes, but one of the things that's encouraging for me is just the amount of youtube videos on him
yer ma should have called you Paolo Zico Gerry Socrates HELLRAZOR
