You think it's a coincidence that our fortunes have risen since Prof started the APLT? I think not. The law of attraction comes into play. All you guys who work on this, with your stats and your spreadsheets and regular updates, deserve winners' medals

I've been a non-contributing visitor to this site for some time now, and the ALPT thread has been one of my favourites. I've loved the novel approaches to thinking about progress (sometimes lack of it) as the season unfolds, and they have given me a fresh perspective on how rival teams are faring. So thanks to everyone who has contributed, and a special mention to Prof, who inspired the site in the first place. Good on you!

I feel full of the milk of human kindness today for some reason ...  ;D

We only had the Man City game below par last year, didn't we? But that can't be right 'cause we must have drawn one or so at home. Just checked - it was 2 draws at home. That makes 3 games below par.

Man City had quite a few more than us last season (they just had an amazing run of big away wins in the run in to pip us).  The season before, they had 5 below pars when they finished on 100 points.

Rare failure of the mockers there.

Imagine if City made that much effort for every game they wouldn't have had such a failure of a league season.

Par from here puts us at 100 pts. That's three wins (Brighton, Burnley, Chelsea), two draws (Arsenal, Newcastle). Playing to +2 gets us the record.

Can't say I'm that arsed about the record anymore since nothing will top that feeling when we became champions. Still, might as well.

I think it would be a good record to set as it's very unlikely to be beaten for a good many years. I just can't see another season where so many other top six sides are so woeful. Even City would be fighting for top 4 in a normal season with their PPG. Leicester and all the teams south of them would have no chance of a CL place.

Us being brilliant is not freak, we've done it 2 seasons running. But everyone else being so lame, that's a freak season.

*(Although it did happen in 2015/6 when Leicester won it. ) :duh

No not in the Premier League. City (11/12), United (10/11) and Chelsea (05/06) have done W18 D1 L0. All three drew to shit teams as well; Sunderland, West Brom and Charlton, respectively. Man United's away form when they did it was W5 D10 L4 which is awful really - 55 points at home and only 25 away. Still good enough to win the league by 9 points though.

In the major European leagues, Juventus managed it in 13/14 and that's it. In the modern era anyway. So not even Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid or PSG despite spells of dominance.
