The Bronn story has been set up that way from the very beginning,he has told them both many a time that he doesn't really give a fuck about them and is only ever in it for the gold.

Yeah, but he went in there with no hand to play. There is not one person in the show that would expect someone to stand by that promise. He went in there and basically put a gun to their heads and said pay me in 3 months, or I kill you now. He was never going to effect the outcome that all 3 knew was coming, and had no worth to barter. He mugged them but expected the kind of rewards that are granted to people who supply whole armies to the cause.

He is however a sellsword and would of been welcome with open arms and a fat payout to boot, which he stood a chance of getting, to fight with his friends which is always been what he is about, selling his sword to help fight with them. Unless something happens tomorrow as a pay off it seems daft not to go that route.

It’s still good, the acting is good, the special effects are good, the camerawork is great, there’s been some genuinely brilliant moments right up there with the best moments in the whole 8 seasons and some really gut wrenching moments again delivered superbly.

These two parts kinda dovetail thiugh. Annoyingly rushed isn't what Game of Thrones has been at all, so "dropped off a cliff" is a reasonable way of describing it IMO.

That's exactly where I stand with it as well. I will watch the last episode, though I had considered not doing so. The first seven seasons I enjoyed overall, some series more than others. It became a bit hit and miss once the show passed the book material. But it still held my interest in the main. But I will always regret they took their eye off the ball in the last series. To do two huge battles in just six episodes was always going to mean there would be less time in character development and that is where its lacked for me this season. They always promised it would be a bittersweet ending, but frankly I don't see too much sweet in any ending they will give the show now. That is disappointing. I certainly understand they can't please everyone and no one expects a Disney ending as its always been a ruthless piece of story telling. But if they don't give the correct time to each character's ending you cannot expect everyone to be thrilled with the result.

This is how i feel. Realising that they only have a finite amount of time to finish telling the story has meant the pacing over the last few seasons has been ridiculous, in huge contrast to what the show was initially, and the quality has suffered.

Finding the words to write this post has left me overwhelmed with how much I want to say but how small words feel in comparison to what this show and Dany have meant to me.
The mother of dragons chapter has taken up the whole of my adult life. This woman has taken up the whole of my heart. I’ve sweated in the blaze of dragon fire, shed many tears at those who left our family early, and wrung my brain dry trying to do Khaleesi and the masterful words, actions (and names) I was given, justice.
Game of Thrones has shaped me as a woman, as an actor and as a human being. I just wish my darling dad was here now to see how far we’ve flown.

But to you, dear kind magical fans, I owe you so much thanks, for your steady gaze at what we’ve made and what I’ve done with a character that was already in the hearts of many before I slipped on the platinum wig of dreams. Without you there is no us.

So Dany is dead and Drogon flies off with her, Bran giving his little smirk so you know he’s going hunting for him and will probably try warg into him, but we’ll never find out.

Sansa’s arc was obvious and has been for a while, Arya was massively underused for 2 episodes now aswell.

Jon made the sacrifices for everyone else and ended up in the only place beside Winterfell he felt ‘home,’ beyond the wall.

Just a ‘Meh’ ending all around.

that was fine but safe. Nothing shocking or surprising except I suppose that there was a “happy” ending. All things considered.
But also nothing overly dumb or annoying.
It does feel like we went from watching a novel to watching bullet points. I’ve no real problem
With how things ended up here and there. It’s just a shame a lot of the final threads weren’t fleshed out more.
The scenes with the new council made me miss the early season scheming and plotting tension.

About as predictable and cookie-cutter finale as you could expect, no twists or surprises there.

Still, hell of a show in its prime. I'll be eagerly awaiting the prequels.
