Here I'm still waitin for that hour and a half of my life back from the 2006 final Dermot!
I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager.

I think this could well be the case

That tall center forward (cant remember his name) that played for their U-21's is going to be a beastly hurler

Iv never heard of Brian Whelan I have heard of a Brian Whelahan though, wake up Billy!

He was a better man to get a score than Tommy thats for sure, its a tricky one, there's not much in it.

Typos abound, I'm tired

I don't find it tricky in the slightest to be honest. I've seen both of them live in the flesh on numerous occasions.

There really is only 1 winner on this one. I saw Whelahan do some freakish stuff when he was at his best, such was his skill level

I remember watching him against Kilkenny in the mid 90's. DJ Carey skinned his brother in the corner and was bearing down on goal. Whelahan moved back towards his own goal to help his keeper. DJ rifled it at them from about 20 yards. Most players instinct would be to attempt to save the ball with their hurley. Whelahan on the other hand just caught it. Get on that, a full force shot from DJ Carey from 20 yards?? You'ld have had to see it to believe it

I'd argue that Brian Whelahan and Tommy Walsh are possibly different generations. Sure their careers overlapped by three maybe four years, but the first year of that TW was a half-forward.

BW in his prime was probably the better hurler, just. But given that TW is 27 and probably has another 6 years hurling with KK, he could surpass him.

No, who were they? Was it internationally acclaimed or within Ireland?

I'll have a stab that these were included....

Ronnie Delaney
Sonia O'Sullivan
Eamon Coughlan
Michelle Smith
Keith Wood
Brian O'Driscoll
DJ Carey
Jack O'Shea

Why so? He's the greatest rugby footballer this Island has ever produced. Don't let any Munster/Leinster bias cloud your judgement on this one.

Still 2/8 (actually 2/6 when you remove my GAA entrants) isn't bad for starters.

Is it a trick though, can animals be included? If so Istabraq needs to be in there, along with a whole host of other Irish Horses.

I have no bias when it comes to rugby whatsoever, mainly due to the fact that I think the majority of its participants are collar wearing, deck shoe loving, wannabe upperclass, expose watching, Templebar frequenting, i-phone using, closet homos.
