Just heard a rumour that they read this thread and cancelled the sale due to the amount of wools trying to buy the locals tickets.

I don't believe either Bootle or London are in Liverpool, super scouse.

I haven't lived in Liverpool for 20 years, I'm quite wool now.  I could easily fiddle it if I wanted to, as all of my brothers and my sister are still there.  Out of principle, I wont.

So, please don't lose your rag that I feel a bit peed that there's locations such as France, Australia and worst of all, West Lancs who are complaining about this mornings sale.

And as for Super Scouse, I quite like it, can I change my user name?

I'm not losing my rag over anything.

I've felt for a long time that these sales should be at the window and not online, if you're local it's not a big deal.

Would make sense to have window sales for "Locals" would rule out people fiddling the system

Not everybody can get to Anfield for 8.15am due to work commitments, does that mean they don't get a ticket because they work?

I wonder how many members there are in the local members membership for the 500 tickets.

Deffo.  As I said before, I've not fiddled the system out of principle.  If I start seeing loads of bad wools up there though, I'll be tempted to start doing it.

Super Scouse.

(Please change it - I'm about to go out for a ciggie in my North Face and everything).

Edit - just seen it and I LOL'd at it like the bad wool div that I am.

No different to people who can't get on the internet at 8.15am due to work commitments.

Internet is easier now-a-days, laptop, mobile, tablet etc... to being at a specific place at a specific time.

That's the point.  I could easily do that but it's something I really want to work.  SOS go and do something really positive and people abuse it.  Each to their own though.

YNWA, etc.

Edit - unless if I've misunderstood and you mean you're helping friends who are in Liverpool to get a ticket.  In which case you're a very good friend.  Can I be your friend?

Of course it is, but it's also easier for someone who isn't local to blag they are than it is for them to turn up with proof of address and buy at the window.

Indeed.

Bring back the window sales,  there is something strangely therapeutic about queueing up in the wind and the rain with your peers even if the little lady behind the window shouts sold out just as you reach the front of the queue.

After sitting waiting for half an hour on friday for no reason, I managed to miss this as I had to take a call at work. Hope it goes to general

It wouldn't bother me if they made the local sale a window sale. I wouldn't be able to go queue or anything, but then I grew up elsewhere so I guess some people would think I wouldn't deserve my ticket anyway

Completely agree with this.

Have we reason to believe that people are fiddling the system? Disgraceful if true. I'd never take a local ticket from a local, couldn't live with myself if I did.

How have the LA sales been availability wise so far this season? Similar to last, better, worse?

Local people are fiddling the system by buying tickets for  £9 and selling them on. I know of a few people who have brought there's for games this season this way. 1 lad of my coach had brought 1 of the £9 ones for Hull off a lad from Liverpool for  £100 so I can only imagine what there going for,for Utd. I told him to report this for Hull and he as so hopefully the club ban whoever sold it. I know it's not everyone local that is doing this but I've heard of many stories of ppl who are which is a disgrace

it is because of the potential for mark up that irks you? said for many years if you want a home game ticket and apply yourself correctly then youll be able to attend. theres plenty of chances for tickets

more fool the people for paying over the odds.

Granted, it shouldnt happen but if someone's stupid enough to pay £100 for a footy match then that's their own problem..

The local sales should be members only, at least that way you dont receive paper tickets!!! That's the downfall right there

People have been paying over the odds to touts for years, if fans stop buyin then there's no market for it to happen

I've not bought in the LA sales this season, only in local members so not sure mate, might be worth an ask in the members sale thread.

How/why has someone paid £100 for a ticket against Hull?

Someone posted about a fella they were sat next to, was maybe the Leicester game, and he said to him not bad for £9 and the fella replied he paid £80 each or something for him and his lad. It's shite and I don't mind it if a steward asks me for ID for every single locals ticket I buy on entry to the ground. Agree they should charge a fee for the card and not issue paper tickets for them because its too easy to sell on.

Anybody fiddling the system deserves a ban, whether it's a local (or non local) selling it on to make a profit, or somebody faking their address to beat the system.

Anybody buying from a tout is just as bad as the tout as well.  If people stopped buying them then the touting would stop.  If the person on your coach had any sense then he'd send the ticket to the club so that they can at least try to trace the tout.  Then again, if he's paying £100 for a league match against Hull then he probably hasn't got any sense.

Don't agree with the other poster who said it should be members only either.  That's punishing the honest locals who just want to go the match.  They shouldn't have to pay £30 odd for a very small chance of getting a £9 ticket, it defeats the whole object.

Anyone paying over the odds for a ticket needs their heads testing.

The club uses this as reason to increase tickets. People are just lazy or dont qualify for a ticket.

If you have patience and commitment, then getting a ticket for most home games is obtainable
