I'm sure we'll get an announcement today.. just dreading that the price will be €84.
But hopefully the club will cover €30-50 of the price.

We can't make Porto away, but have 2 cards that qualify in Fridays sale. If we let someone link to these and buy under their log in, would they be the ones to have to produce the ID to collect?

The one potentially collecting is the one whose name is entered as the attending person.

If LFC were to charge us £30 per ticket and pay the difference, it would cost them £116K which is peanuts to them but would be a great gesture to our supporters, therefore it won't happen.

Liverpool Football Club has received an allocation of 3,200 tickets for our UEFA Champions League fixture away to FC Porto on Wednesday February 14, kick-off 7.45pm.

Full selling details and ticket criteria is available here on our ticketing pages. Please note that there will not be a ticket collection process in Porto for this fixture as previously advertised.

Away ticket prices have been set by FC Porto at £66.50 (€75), which is the same price as general admission tickets for home supporters. This is in line with UEFA rules which state that away supporters cannot be charged more than home supporters.

FC Porto does have a significant discount for its members’ tickets, which are priced at €25 and expect to cover the vast majority of the Estádio do Dragão stadium. It is not apparent that there will be any home general admission tickets sold at €75 due to the anticipated demand by FC Porto members. Liverpool FC has therefore raised this significant discrepancy at the highest level with UEFA and FC Porto, who have confirmed that this pricing structure and policy is in line with previous rounds in the competition.

We will continue our dialogue with UEFA regarding the €50 discrepancy between the home and away ticket prices. We will update supporters when those discussions have concluded.

While that process is ongoing, it is important that we commence the away ticket sale now so supporters can plan their trips accordingly

Why did they have to announce this - now every tom dick not going will apply - they could of quite easily waited till it sold out then did it!!

All depends how many days you’re willing to do. Can fly to Nuremberg from Manc Monday afternoon for £17. And on to Porto Tuesday afternoon for £54. Can fly Porto to Cologne Thursday morning for £26. And cologne to Manchester for £70 that evening. £169 all in.

Or if you can’t go Monday you can fly to Cologne first thing Tuesday for a tenner, and fly on to Porto that evening via Lisbon for £102, so £198 all in.

yes spot on. on one hand the club seem to start thinking in the right way to tackle touting. Then with the next announcement they come across like this is the first ticket sale they've ever done!

Very disappointed with the club regarding this. Rumours of inflated prices have been doing the rounds for weeks now. I suppose they've seen what's happened with Man Utd regarding Sevilla before doing anything about it. Not for the 1st time this season they've been caught out while them down the M62 have done something for their own fans. Now it's left to SOS to salvage something again.
