From Adam Lallana’s instagram

Nothing but love and appreciation for the last 6 years.

Thanks to the amazing people who made this place feel like home.

To the supporters for accepting me and making me feel like one of their own.

The staff - the world-class staff - without whom none of what we achieve as players would be possible. I can’t find the words to do justice for how much they mean to me... they are everything!

To Brendan Rodgers, I will forever be grateful that he gave me the privilege to represent this club.

To Jürgen Klopp, an even better man than he is a football manager.

My teammates, they are my brothers. To share this journey with these boys has made me feel the luckiest fella in the game.

To the Skip, Jordan Henderson... my best friend! No one deserves success more than this guy. It’s meant everything to be at his side while he’s achieved it.

And to my own family, my wife and children, my mum, dad and sister... my own “team”. They made the good times better and the tough times bearable.

I am so grateful to have been part of this special place.

And now on to the next adventure.

With love,

Adam

I was made up when we signed him. Very unlucky with injuries but he’s played his part when he’s had the chance. A tidy footballer, and decent guy by all accounts, he’ll be missed. Good luck Adam, but don’t be coming back here scoring worldies unless it’s a consolation goal!

I never usually feel emotion when players leave, but his interview has got me a bit. Seeing that tweet^ describing how highly thought of he is doesn't surprise me one iota. Successful football teams have personalities like Adam Lallana.

Always seemed like a really good person, such a joy to watch. Fair summary from him, he did frustrate at times in his first season but those first couple of years of Klopp he was often the one who set the tone for us. Obviously his influence on the pitch dwindled in the last couple of seasons but he fully deserves his medals and he can always treasure that Old Trafford equaliser which kept the momentum going to our great start this season

Interview got me too. Always loved him as a player. Any player who can kick it with equal skill with both feet I've always been a sucker for. Did his best for the team every time he stepped on the pitch. I wish him well...

Did his contract end today? Weird date.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Surprised that he won't be in the squad for Sunday, I get that we couldn't put him on against Chelsea but he could've easily had a couple of mins again Newcastle.

I suppose we are not privy to the exact agreements.

A great footballer and I loved watching him play at his best. He helped our pressing game to start with and got us back into the CL. Its a shame that the last 3 seasons have been beset with injuries but he's been instrumental in our success.

Best of luck Adam!

Might be as simple as him having had a breakthrough in contract talks, in which case it makes no sense for him to be involved - no point unless he’s going to be on the bench.

Think it was clear from his interview with LFCTV that he had a deal agreed with a club, reckon the Brighton announcement will come by Monday.

This..

Think the plan was to give him a few minutes on Wednesday but deal has been agreed between Lallana and his new club.

So we are not going to risk him for a few minutes to say goodbye when no fans there.. Pointless.

He might as well not risk injury and just come back on the PL champions tour bus when that happens.
