I can't see any reason for Coates not to play.  He's young and he needs as much time on the pitch as possible, especially now Agger is out.

Plus it is not like centre backs run much, even if he does play two games in the next few days.

Liverpool have a terrible record of producing goalkeepers in recent years. Don't think there's a young lad who deserves a chance is there? I suppose Gulacsi is young for  goalkeeper at 22....

Not sure what to expect here...apart from a similar lineup to the one that gave the young boys a spanking  :P

Would like to see some sort of consistancy with the backup players chosen aswell as the first team players.....as Rodgers wants to implement a system with specific tactical requirements for each position, i'd hope that players are played in their preferred positions or the positions chosen for them by the manager and kept there.....so they know what's expected of them, can play with any personnel and can hit form quicker.

As for today's game.....it will be hard, but think we'll win it.........in extra time!

I liked and rated Nikolay Mihaylov

Who is now the Bulgarian Footballer of the Year

But we have had terrible luck with back up keepers..... Carson, Kirkland, Itandje, Cavalieri

Mihaylov was recently quoted saying that Liverpool now have retained an option to buy him back from Twente, as he has played enough games for his native country's national team to qualify for a work permit.

was on wilki anyone know if this is true?

It's the fact that Pepe kept some talented goalkeepers out of the team with ease, and now when he's losing form we have nobody to realistically challenge him.

Is Conor Coady injured or will we see him tonight? Was surprised not to see him in European games...

Distance covered is quite meaningless without intensity. Any healthy person can cover 10 kms in 90 minutes. Usually the centrebacks run less at full intensity than the rest.

Why Henry and co thought the squad was big enough to manage four competitions is beyond me

and the Europa the biggest competition in terms of games

the only positive out of it all is seeing how good the Kids are compared to the overpriced, over payed has beens still lurking at this club

Yeah, all two of them.
