I don't particularly agree with the 200,000 flags, they could have done something better with that money. Nonetheless, as Liverpool supporters we must express our empathy with Joe & Kamala, not having a boss parade is rotten.
Sincerely good luck to the both of them, to two sincere people. They'll work 50 times harder than their predecessors to make America great again.
Well said John. The US is in desperate need of some positive and unifying leadership, and my best hopes and wishes are with the new team. Biden’s Irish roots don’t of necessity leave him ill disposed to the U.K, I think he’s sufficiently a statesman to look beyond that. However, he will be far better briefed than Trump about the ramifications for Northern Ireland of Brexit, and the GFA.
Incidentally, I know his hometown of Ballina extremely well - I fished in Co. Mayo for over 35 years, over which time Ireland went through a ‘modernisation’ far more radical than we went through this side of the Irish Sea. Even in the early ‘80s, it was not uncommon to see horse and donkey-drawn vehicles, and other, motor driven ones that, had there been M.O.Ts, would never have passed.
