I'm not sure if you're allowed to start a thread about our would-be opponents, but here goes...
IF (that's a big if) we get past Bayer then I can't see anything at all to worry us in the semi. Deportivo looked tactically naieve and were appalling at the back against "lightening fast Ruud" - they'd get crucified by our three. United were their usual self - great going forward but limited at the back. Quite why Deportivo didn't try taking Neville on the outside I don't know - but you can be sure if we get them Riise will give him a roasting. Of the two I've definitely changed my mind who I'd rather have. Deportivo are nothing like I expected them to be - they might just have been having a bad game, but they were very poor, unimaginative and had no fight. United on the other hand played well and are due something against us, just on the law of averages. They still don't look a patch on the 99 team though - and they were stuffy to win it. The good news if we do get them is that the menassa mauler and the petulant gobshite should both be out.
I reckon the path to final is open - just need a big win tonight. Come on you Red men!!!
