Using the Modern Warfare engine apparently - so should instantly be better than cold war! Curious to see how it integrates into Warzone - I assume the new map will be Vanguard based and all weapons will be Vanguard weapons?

Not for me. Didn't enjoy the last effort with WW2 and having already pre-ordered BF2042 I don't think I could justify another shooter so close.

It's alt-history post WW2, but yeah, it's flogging a dead horse at this point, hard to think of a historical setting that hasn't been overused in military FPS titles.

They're never going to massively change it. Why would they when they make so much money out of how it is now.

I can never get into WW2 games, World at War i played for a couple of weeks then went back to Cod 4 and Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for another year, COD WW2 game i never bothered with, it was the worst developed Cod ever, major clusterfucks by Sledgehammer, quite a few people got fired i read.

It really is a low point in Cod multiplayer right now, COD really needs a major upheaval and giant leap forward like COD4 did for the franchise in 2007, WW2 was the starting point for the demise of CoD online, it started to be about profits with addons and pay to win loot boxes and less about the game play.

I'll wait for CoD in 2022, i have a feeling the next MW game that will have been developed for 2 years will go back to it's roots and be that arcade type fun again like Cod was from Cod4 to BO2 (2007 to 2013).

Played the beta over the weekend and it's left no lasting impression on me at all other than its a bit...meh. Graphics look a step down (playing on PS4) The movement feels clunky - throwing a grenade takes an eternity and the weapons are at this moment in time, way op. I like the fact that its a bit stripped back with regards to addons, stupid skins and kill streaks and all that (great to see the dogs back). Maps are ok I guess (rooftop map is shite), nothing special. I think if I get this its for the game itself, not mp.

I actually prefer the Cold War multiplayer and I’m not overly fond of that, I’ll be giving it a miss. Get my online carnage from Halo and maybe Battlefield.

Installed the beta, played half a round, quit and uninstalled, it's fucking ludicrous that they still release these annually, isn't Warzone making them enough money, that they could take a year or two out and come up with something a bit more innovative?

This is the 2nd Cod i have no plans to own and i've played Cod online since Cod4, WW2 is so dated and i didn't even bother with the last WW2 game.

I'll stick with Warzone.

Cold War is like £30 now. Gaming industry is cannibalism, the Cyberpunk thing has put people off making original games.

I might play Hitman and Res Evil forever

My copy arrived today.  It's not bad.  Not as good as MW2019, not sure it's even better than CW but at least it has sliding.

Will probably enjoy it for a week or two then use it to level up guns for Warzone, like I did with CW.

Despite not intending to get this, I had 30,000 microsoft points so got £20 off, its actually pretty good, much better than the beta.  Its quite tough though, my Cold War K/D was around 2, its just under 1 in this.

Really looking forward to getting this. Probably going o wait till payday as I've had a mad couple of months pissing money up the wall. Hoping there's a decent black Friday offer on somewhere.

Never got into Warzone - too slow for me. I enjoy the multiplayer and think most would if they didn't compare it to previous iterations when we were all a fair bit younger.

I would say it's a great chance to rack up some kills, but for me it's a great way to watch killcams for 10 minutes.

Multiplayer is fun in this. Don’t buy for Zombies though as that has 1 map on launch which is a hybrid of Cold War Zombies outbreak and something else but very small, only 3 objectives which after round 4/5 then becomes 1 objective and gets boring very quickly.

Needs a couple of Round Based Maps and that continues the Dark Aether story before it’s worth picking up just for that mode.
