Just had a call from Blue Air...anyone flying on Wednesday from Stansted at 11.00am, the flight time has now been changed to 2.45pm
I think we'd have won the league if we'd sold Keane to Man United.

Go to the airport early. If they have cancelled, they will re-route you to Bucharest. Happened to me loads of times.

Seems no metro is running anywhere near the stadium. I guess it will be a taxi/bus but at that time? Anyone any advice/pointers? Where will be best to head after the game (my hotel is about 5 miles from the stadium) smack in the city centre

Getting to the Ground (By Public Transport)
The ground is served by 3 tram routes - numbers 11, 41 and 47. Tickets are cheap (€0.35) and the trams are frequent. They'll be packed in build up to kick off, however. Trolleybuses 69 and 71 pass nearby to the north of the stadium, too.

You shouldn't bother with trams and trolleys when cabs from downtown to the stadium shouldn't be more than 3 GBP.

Anyways... who's coming to Bucharest from tomorrow (Tuesday)? Anybody up for a meeting later in the evening, for some pints? :)

Cheers for that, a trolley sounds an experience. Haha.

@ Chris, will these be running late after the game? Or will taxi's hang around to take reds to the city? There will be a few hundred of us of course.

Trams, trolleys and buses run until 11-11.30 PM. The game is early so it's a safe bet they'll be running after it's all done.

Is anyone going with Wizz Air?

You cannot check in on-line, but i have found Additional Passenger Information on change booking page, where you can enter passports numbers, etc etc

Not sure if i should fill this in or not? Doesnt say in the confirmation email i got from them.  Not phoning them, it costs me £15 everytime i do :-(

My mate has given me what looks like a 10,000 lei note, left over from when Everton played Steaua a few years ago.  I assume its old currency, as its not worth £2k.

I wonder if our romanian friends can tell me if it can be used and, if so, what's the value in £'s?

Haha, no, you cannot use it anymore :)  I guess banks can still change old bills for new ones, but 10.000 old lei is like 20 cents :)

The weather is fine at the moment. 10 degrees, partly cloudy. It's actually really pleasant. But rain is predicted for Thursday.

Ta.

Just reading some of the nightlife guides and some people have left messages saying certain clubs are hard to get into.  Are trainers allowed in all nightclubs or is it worth bringing a pair of shoes?

I don't go to nightclubs, I am more of a rock bar / pub kinda guy, so I have no idea what's the dress code for the fancier places. I doubt you'll end up in one of the uptight places anyway, so you should be ok.
