Clever undoubtedly, but not all S3's episodes have been as hilarious as I'd hoped. They had their moments.

I'm not sure it's ever been all about the laughs or if the balance has changed significantly since the first episode.

It ebbs and it flows, sometimes serious, sometimes bizarre, sometimes daft as fuck, but always entertaining.

I think this season has been as good as any before it and can't wait for more.

I agree. Don't think there's been any lacklustre episodes to be honest and I'd say 3 episodes from this season would probably make my top 5 all time.

I did miss there not being an Interdimensional Cable episode though, as good as Morty's Mind Blowers was.

Fan culture is massively out of hand......if someone don't like something, frankly, who gives a fuck. Why they feel they have some right to shout their opinions at the world and have to try and convince everyone they're right, is fucking beyond me. If someone enjoys something, just let them enjoy it, you don't have to suck the fun out of it just because you're a lifeless, soulless, banal, negative shit munching twat of a human being!!!!

It's never been about being laugh out loud funny for me. It's been clever, witty writing which makes you laugh and makes you think. It's a family drama but with a completely different setting. It's just fantastic

The pirate fear from his wikipedia got me. Rick's sudden dread also reminded me of the planet where everything is on the cob, which always cracks me up

I think I've watched every episode of the first 2 seasons at least 4 times. Watched the entire first series with the commentaries on as well. Which reminds me that I still need to do that for Season 2 actually.

This may be the best episode of the show I've seen. Brilliant, insightful, sharp, funny, and as you say, magnificent in the end. The choice of Hope Sandoval at the end was perfect.
