I've caught one or two episodes but just started watching S11 properly.

I'm still laughing at the start of the first episode now, I forgot how good South Park was.

South park is a great show, even the first episodes of series 1, when the animation was worse, the stories were simple, yet it was still great. It's really good to see how the show has progressed and grown into the more recent series.

Aye, The Simpsons seems to be going down the Family Guy route of randomness, and it's been a bit hit or miss in the last few seasons.

Stan's Dad.

His best episode (and one of the best south park episodes so far) has to be War Of Worldcraft hes just so serious about it dead funny especially when his character is dyeing on the game he makes sound effects and everything always makes me laugh.

Just curious, of the best English television shows (Alan Partridge, The Office), how many episodes do they make a season, and how many seasons do they last?  Seems to me South Park, the Simpsons, and others have more than doubled the output of England's finest.

The key is the number of writers employed. A hit British show will typically be scripted by one or at most two people.

The Simpsons on the other hand employs a team of writers, working on different episodes  but contributing to others as well. That's how they can manage to get so many gags into each episode.

The American format is much better suited to extending the lifespan of a show, although this isn't always a good thing as many jump the shark and outstay their welcome.Fawlty Towers for instance only ran for 12 episodes over 2 seasons before John Cleese and Connie Booth called it a day. They simlply couldn't continue to write the scripts whilst maintaining the quality.
Well, I don't know what it is, but there's definitely something going on upstairs

Depends on the type of show aswell surely? Fawlty Towers for example wasn't exactly a topical comedy whereas say something like South Park relies on current affairs to get the jokes.

Yes defintitely because I'd guess a satire is easier to script than a farce. Fawlty Towers is a masterpiece of plotting. Although I still wonder at the way Matt and Trey manage to maintain standards on South Park through such a hectic writing schedule. There's a formula but the characters are so strong that they carry the viewer along with it.

I think south park has a much smaller team. They make 14 episodes, done in two blocks of 7, so may be easier for them to write with just the two of them, rather than 20 odd episodes all shown continuously like the simpsons.

A South Park editor revealed what Kenny says in the beginning in every South Park intro (which, like most of his dialogue, is muffled by his parka).

For the first 2 seasons he really says, "I like girls with deep vaginas, I like girls with big fat titties."
From season 3 and beyond, it was changed to "I have got a ten inch penis, use your mouth if you want to clean it."
For some of the later seasons, it was changed to "Someday I'll be old enough to stick my dick in Britney's butt," referring to Britney Spears.
It Is Unknown what the Current Lines are.
