I only put that jam in due to the last time I had it, I was about 9. True though, tastes lovely on its own.

I like it warm.

I had it warm, but snaffled up the remainder left in the tin, which was cold and that was lovely. Less runny when its cold I noticed.

Used to love it in Spain. Bit of a regular at the end of a menu del dia. Bit of cinnamon on top and served the way I like it best…..cold out the fridge.

Warm, hot, cold, plain, with raisins or a smidge of blackcurrant, they're all wonderful. (No cinnamon for me)

Not as bad as school Semolina pud that was rank. My Mom used to make a decent rice pudding it was probs the last time i had homemade back in the 80's!

Seriously though, has anyone tried dim sum tripe? Nothing fecal about it. The only flavour is from garlic, ginger and chilli. The tripe itself is cut thin, so any chewiness (from the base) only lasts for a second, with the florets being crunchy. My only issue with it is that a portion is too small, but then that's the nature of dim sum.

I like head meat too. No one supplies traditional brawn unfortunately, so I have to make do with Polish salcisson or Romanian toba from the deli. Possibly only surpassed by belly, the tongue is the best bit of pork.

Staple food growing up in Scotland, only from an Ambrosia tin though. Coincidentally just bought a tin of Ambrosia custard today, that itself is delicious on its own.

I live in London now, but hell, its still better than all the artisan crap down here.

Do actually like rice pudding. Not had it years myself till aboot a month ago. Only cos i was making it for someone and before i heated theres up got the last little bit bit roond the side of the tin room temp.Feel the heat takes the taste away from most things so like it either cold or room temp. Custards another. Once in a while ill fancy swiss roll covered in custard cold but i have to ait a day for it to absorb. Well worth the wait though. Like a trifle without all the arty french bollocks. Plus i dont stink of garlic afterwards
